Recharging the Batteries

One full charge of the NiMH batteries allows approximately 8 hours
of continuous pipetting. Decreasing motor power and a lit "Low-
Battery Indicator" LED, indicate the need for recharging.
For environmental reasons, the Rota-Filler 3000 ® is powered by
rechargeable NiMH batteries, which do not contain Cadmium. These
type of batteries work best when "trained"—the batteries are
discharged fully before recharged for several recharge sessions.
Warning!
Use original battery charger only!
The use of a different charger could damage the batteries and
would void the warranty.
Confirm that the voltage of the adapter matches the voltage of the
electrical outlet.
Before starting to charge, confirm that the voltage or the battery
adapter is identical to the main power supply at the outlet.
1. The temperature range for recharging is 50 to 95°F (10 to 35°C).
2. Plug the charger jack into the base of the Rota-Filler 3000 ® .
3. Insert the plug of the adapter into a suitable wall outlet. The red
indicator on the charger will light up.
4. Place the Rota-Filler 3000 ® on the benchtop stand.
5. Allow to charge 14 hours from empty to fully charged.
6. Once the Rota-Filler 3000 ® is fully charged, the adapter
automatically switches to a trickle charge operation and the red
indicator will turn off. If the charge is interrupted and then
re-started, the adapter will start the full 14 hour charging cycle
again. This will not damage the batteries.
Notes
— When fully charged, the Rota-Filler 3000 ® can be operated for
approximately 8 hours.
— If using the Rota-Filler 3000 ® daily, do not charge the battery until the
"low-battery indicator" LED has lit. A residual charge of approximately
10% is available when the LED has lit.
—The Rota-Filler 3000 ® can be operated during recharging.
— If the LED on the adapter does not light up when the Rota-Filler 3000 ®
is connected to the adapter, the Rota-Filler 3000 ® and adapter should
both be tested and if necessary, repaired or replaced.

circuiting, mechanical damage, or overheating, may cause an
explosion.
1. Place the Rota-Filler 3000 ® on flat surface with logo side down.
2.  Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the blue screw (see
photo above).
3.  Remove battery compartment cover.
4. Gently remove batteries.
5.  Insert new batteries according to markings on plastic in the
battery compartment.
6.  Replace battery compartment cover.
7.  Replace screw on battery compartment cover.
Warning!
