• The cutting diameter must not exceed the length of
the protection cover stated in this manual.
• Make sure that the trimmer is not soiled by parts of
plants or other materials.
• Always switch the engine off if you make a break or
move to another area.
• Replace the exhaust pipe and (if necessary) the
spark protector if these are not in proper working
order any more.
• To keep the danger of fire as low as possible the
engine and exhaust pipe must be free from grass,
leaves and excess grease.
• For any interventions, whether maintenance or
repair works, the changing the cutting head or
installation of safety devices, the engine must be
switched off.
• Use original spare parts only. These parts are avail-
able from your appointed retailer. The use of deviat-
ing parts or other parts, accessories or attachments
that are not designed for this trimmer may result in
serious injuries to the persons using it and your
warranty will become void.
• Only use the trimmer with the right trimming cord
installed and with both trimming cords being at
the right length.
• Please note that improper maintenance, the use of
non-compliant spare parts, or the removal or modi-
fication of safety devices can cause damage to the
tool and serious injuries to the operator.
• Please note that permissible uses for the tool could
be limited by national regulations.
AFTER OPERATION
• Clean the trimmer from remainders of grass and
dirt after use.
• Lock the device in a proper place to protect it from
unauthorised use.
FURTHER SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• If there is still fuel in the device's tank do not store
it in a building where the vapours may be ignited
by open fire or sparks.
• Let the engine cool down, before you store the
device in a closed room.
• Lock the trimmer in a proper, dry room to protect it
from unauthorised use and damage.
TRANSPORT
• When transporting the tool by car, it must be positioned
so that it poses no danger, and secured.
• Make sure that no petrol escapes during transport. Avoid
damage and injuries.
• During transport and storage of the tool, the blade guard
(chain guard) must be attached.

MACHINE ASSEMBLY

IMPORTANT: The Machine is supplied with some of
the components disassembled and the fuel tank empty.
WARNING! Always wear strong work gloves to
handle the cutting devices. Mount the components
very carefully so as not to impair the safety and
efficiency of the machine. If in doubt, contact your
dealer.
1. COMPLETING THE MACHINE
„BIKE HANDLE" models (Fig. 1)
- Connecting via spring (4), put the below support (5)
onto base (2), located on the drive tube (3).
- Put the handlebar (1) into the seating in the below
support (5), making sure that the controls are on the
right.
- Fix the cover (6), fully tightening the knob (8) by hand,
do not forget/missing the washer (7).
The base (2) is already preassembled on the transmis-
sion tube; this position must never be changed.
2. GUIDE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
Put the lower shaft (2) into the shaft coupling and concur-
rently pull out the locking pin (1). Slide the lower shaft in as
far as it will go and let go of the locking pin. The locking pin
must engage into the opening (3) located laterally in the
lower shaft. Of necessary, slightly move the lower shaft
to-and-fro until the locking pin safely locks in place. Then
tighten the fly nut (4).
3. FITTING THE GUARDS
WARNING! Each cutting device is provided with
a specific guard. Never use guards other than those
indicated for each cutting device.
• 3 point blade (Fig. 3)
WARNING! Wear protective gloves and fit the
blade guard.
- Remove the blade (if fitted) as described in para-
graph 4.
- The guard (1) has be fixed to the angle transmission
(2) by four screws (3).
