INSTRUCTION MANUAL
DT100N1 DIGITAL CLINICAL THERMOMETER
Dear Customer,
Please read these Operating Instructions through
carefully before connecting your device to the
mains, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect
use. Please pay particular attention to the safety
information. If you pass the device on to a third
party, these Operating Instructions must also be
handed over.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Wrong operation and improper handling can
cause problems with the appliance and injury
to the user.
• The unit may be used only for the intended
purposes. No liability is accepted for damages
arising from improper use or faulty handling.
• Do not try to open the housing yourself! Do
not ever try to repair the unit yourselves.
• Do not introduce any kind of objects into the
housing.
• Do not operate the unit, if the unit has fallen to
the ground or otherwise damaged. In such
cases, bring the unit to the workshop for
checking and repairs, if necessary.
• This unit is not suitable for professional
operation.
• Children cannot sense the dangers caused by
improper handling of electrical devices. Do
not, therefore, let children use electrical
devices, except under supervision.
• Do not throw batteries in the household
garbage! Please ensure appropriate
disposal of spent batteries.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Press the On/ Off key. There is a signal beep
and the display shows 188.8 mE. The unit
carries out a self-test.
• The display then displays "M" and shows the
result of the latest measurement for 2
seconds.

Before delivery our devices are subjected to
rigorous quality control. If, despite all care,
damage has occurred during production or
transportation, please return the device to your
dealer. In addition to statutory legal rights, the
purchaser has an option to claim under the terms
of the following guarantee:
For the purchased device we provide 2 years
guarantee, commencing from the day of sale.
During this period we will remedy all defects free
of charge, which can be demonstrably attributed
to material or manufacturing defects, by repair or
exchange.
Defects which arise due to improper handling of
the device and malfunctions due to interventions
and repairs by third parties or the fitting of non-
original parts, are not covered by this guarantee.

• When "M" goes off and °C starts blinking, the
unit is ready for measurement. If the room
temperature is below 32 °C, it shows L °C.
• You can take the measurements orally, rectally
or axillarily.
a) If you use it orally, keep the sensor under
the tongue and close your mouth for more
than 1 minute. Normal temperature 37.0
°C.
b) If rectal use is made, introduce the sensor
behind the sphincter and wait for at least 1
minute. Normal temperature 37.6°C.
c) For axillary use, dry the armpit, place the
sensor against the skin and fold up the
arm. Measuring time about 10 minutes.
Normal temperature 36.7°C.
• When the measurement is over, °C stops
blinking and emits several beeps.
• The unit has a built-in fever alarm. The audio
signal starts at 37.5 °C.
• If one wants to carry out other measurements,
it is advisable to switch the unit off and then
on again.
• The last reading remains in its memory and is
displayed on being used again.
• The thermometer switches off automatically
after 10 minutes, but you can also switch off
manually to save the batteries.
Changing the batteries
• When the batteries start running out, the
numbers and C start blinking simultaneously.
Pull off the protective cap and unscrew the
battery compartment using a small Philip head
screwdriver.
• Place a new button cell LR-41, observing the
correct polarity!
Environmental protection: Please dispose of the
batteries in the correct manner; do not throw
them in the household garbage.
TIPS FOR CARE
• For use at home, we recommend that you
clean with a piece of cloth and lukewarm
warm.
• You can also place it in a disinfectant solution,
for about 30 minutes. Suitable solutions are
those with water and with up to 70% alcohol
or 0.5% glutaralhyde, 0.1% benzathonium
chloride or 0.02% antiformine.

des tiers, ne pas oublier de joindre le présent
mode d'emploi.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
• Une mauvaise utilisation ou manipulation peut
engendrer un dysfonctionnement de l'appareil
et blesser l'utilisateur.
• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil à des fins autres que
celles pour lesquelles il a été conçu. En cas
d'utilisation non conforme aux prescriptions ou
de mauvaise manipulation, nous déclinons
toute responsabilité quant aux éventuels
dommages.
• Ne jamais essayer d'ouvrir soi-même le
boîtier ! Ne jamais essayer de réparer soi-
même l'appareil.
• Ne jamais introduire d'objets à l'intérieur de
l'appareil.
• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si ce dernier est
tombé par terre ou s'il a été endommagé
d'une manière quelconque. Dans ces cas de
figure, faire vérifier et éventuellement réparer
l'appareil par un spécialiste.
• Cet appareil n'est pas prévu pour une
utilisation commerciale.
• Les enfants ne connaissent pas les dangers
liés à une utilisation mal appropriée des
appareils électriques. C'est pourquoi il ne faut
jamais laisser un enfant utiliser sans
surveillance un appareil électrique.
• Les piles ne sont pas des déchets
domestiques. Veuillez déposer les piles vides
dans les conteneurs prévus à cet effet.
