Connecting the scanner to devices
Vasco Translator and Vasco Traveler
Press and hold the On/Off button for about 3 seconds on the scanner. When the Power LED
light turns green, turn on your Vasco device.
Press the Bluetooth
main translator and wait a few seconds.
(In the Vasco Traveler device you must first run the Vasco Translator application).
If the LED notification on the scanner flashes blue, it means that the scanner has been suc-
cessfully connected to your device.

No connection with the scanner. Press to connect the device.
The connection with the scanner is in process. Wait a few seconds.
The scanner is connected. You can use the device.
The connection to the scanner has been terminated. Press to resume connection.
Scanning
Turn on the scanner and remove the cap from the end of the scanner. Make sure that the
scanner is connected to the Vasco device. Select source and target language in the Vasco
Translator application. Set the scanner at an angle of approximately 70° to the ground, and
then gently press the tip of the scanner. Move the scanner in a straight line, make sure that
the scanned area is located within the „>" symbol, located at the tip of the scanner.
The default scanning direction is „from left to right" this can be changed in the scanner
settings.
Start scanning 1cm before a row of text begins and finish 1cm further than it ends.
Make sure that when scanning the LED notification lights up blue.
When the scanned text appears on the screen of the Vasco translator, press the 3 function
button on the scanner to start the translation. After a few seconds, the translated sentence
appears in the bottom text box.
