Removing the Battery

The ba ery may need to be removed to swap ba eries or charge the ba ery if there is no power supply
near the bike.
When the ba ery is removed, the cover will stay a ached to the bike, and the front ba ery bracket will
stay a ached to the ba
1. Using a T25 Torx wrench, remove the eight M6
bolts securing the ba ery cover to the frame.
Support the cover while removing the last bolts,
since the ba ery is a ached to the cover.
2. Pull the rear of the cover downward un l the wire
harness clears the frame. Once the wire clears
the frame, pull the cover backwards to pull the
ba ry out of the frame.
3. Press down on the quick release tab in front of
the ba ery to release the ba ery from the cover.
4. Pull the ba ery upward to remove the ba ery
from the cover.

Installing the Battery

To install the ba ery, reverse the removal procedure from above.
1. Install the ba ery onto the cover by aligning the
rear of the ba
then lowering the front of the ba ery into place.
2. Push the ba ery backward to ensure
engagement between the ba ery and receiver.
3. With the ba ry in place, pull up on the quick
release tab to secure the ba
4. Insert the front of the ba ery into the ba ery
cavity and slide it forward un the rear of the
ba ery clears the back edge of the cavity. Li the
back edge of the ba ery into the ba ery cavity.
Make sure that the ba ery cable clears the back
edge of the ba ery cavity when installing the
ba ery.
5. Apply blue Loc te 243 on the threads of the
eight M6 ba ery cover bolts.
6. Using a T25 Torx wrench, replace all eight M6
bolts and ghten to 8 Nm.
