Changing the brushes
Place the machine on a suitable substrate on the rear of the

housing.
Remove the polish dispenser cover: To do this use a Phillips

head screwdriver to remove the two screws in the middle (screws
are countered on the rear with nuts ) (Fig. 5).
Use an open-jaw wrench (10 mm) to remove the 4 screws of the

motor carrier on the inside of the rear wall of the housing (Fig. 6).
The respective shaft side can now be made accessible by swin-

ging the motor carrier to the right side or left side (Fig. 7).
Detach the flanges of the individual brushes from the shaft with

an Allen wrench (3 mm) and pull off the brushes.
Slide on the new brushes in the same manner.

Fix the brush flanges in place. In this process ensure that the

fixing screws are again precisely positioned in the respective
shaft receptacle.
Firmly fasten the motor holder on the inside of the rear wall of

the housing with 4 nuts. In this process ensure that the ground
cable is firmly connected to the housing.
Mount the polish dispenser cover.

Changing the brushes
Detach the polish dispenser from the holding rail by turning it a

quarter turn (Fig. 1).
Use an Allen wrench (2.5 mm) to remove the cover of the ser-

vice opening on the rear of the machine
(Fig. 8).
In the interior of the opening use an open-end wrench (13 mm)

to unscrew the two nuts of the motor holder on the right approx.
75% (do not unscrew them completely!). Completely unscrew
the two nuts on the left (Fig. 9).
From the front, swing the motor holder in the direction of the po-

lish dispenser, so that the right polishing brush projects forward
and is freely accessible.
Unscrew the Allen stud screws on the brush flange of the

polishing brush with the Allen wrench (3 mm) and pull off the
polishing brush from the side (Fig. 10).
Unscrew the Allen stud screws of the black pre-cleaning brush with

an Allen wrench (2.5 mm) and pull off the pre-cleaning brush.
Slide on the new brushes in the same manner.

Fix the brush flange of the polishing brush or pre-cleaning brush

in place with the Allen stud screws. In this process ensure that
the fixing screws are again precisely positioned in the respective
shaft receptacle.
Use an open-jawed wrench to remove the 4 screws of the motor

carrier on the inside of the rear wall of the housing.
Screw the cover of the service opening back onto the rear side
10.
of the machine.
