To ensure that the device functions correctly, and will have
a long service life, please comply with the information in
these Operating Instructions, as well as the application
conditions and additional data given in the Type 6642 data sheet:
• When planning the application of the device, and during its
operation, observe the general technical rules!
• Take suitable measures to prevent unintentional operation or
impermissible impairment!
• Note that lines and valves must not be disconnected from
systems which are under pressure!
• Always switch off the voltage before carrying out work on the
device!
• If these instructions are ignored, no liability will be accepted from
our side, and the guarantee on the device and on accessories will
become invalid!
• Attention! The surface of the solenoids can become very hot
in continuous operation. Danger of injury!
Pilot-operated solenoid valve with a servo-membrane; 3/2-
way pilot control with dividing membrane
• Media:
Housing material PVC, PEEK: neutral liquids and gases which do
not attack the housing or sealing material.
Housing material PVC, sealing material EPDM alkalis, acids
(-0 to 50 °C); sealing material FPM: salt solutions, oxidising acids,
oils (0 to 50 °C)
• Max. ambient temperature at continuous operation: +40 °C
Voltage, electrical power, pressure range and nominal
diameters can be found on the nameplate.
Voltage tolerance: ±10 %
• Electrical connection: Type 2506 instrument socket at the

CIRCUIT FUNCTION
Function A: working connection normally closed
Function B: working connection normally open
By turning the pilot control 180° the valve is converted from FA
to FB (FA: the designation „NO" is placed over the designation
„P" of the valve cover)

• Please note the warning information on the coil, in particular for
coils which require a rectifier.
• When screwing the coil into the instrument socket, ensure that
the seal is properly seated!
Work on the unit must only be performed by skilled
personnel using suitable tools!
• Note the direction of flow!
• Clean the piping system before installing the valve!
• Where necessary, connect a dirt trap to protect against faults.
• After attaching the pilot fitting (tightening torque: 0,25 Nm), fit the
coil, and tighten the coil screws
(tightening torque: 0.2 Nm ±0.05 Nm).
• Do not use the coil as a lever when screwing in the pipe
connections!
• The valve may be installed and removed radially by hand strength;
installation in a piping system thus presents no problems.
• Order connecting parts such as union nuts, insert and O-rings
separately as a connector set type CP03.
• Do not distort the valve housing during installation!
• Attention: After removing the coil, check the function of the
protective conductor before re-applying the voltage
(measurement point: protective conductor connection, fixing
screw of the coil; max. protective conductor resistance 0.1 Ω Ω Ω Ω Ω ;
test voltage 12 V; test current 1 A).
• Faults can result from soiling, short circuits and loss of electrical
power.
• When faults occur, check line connections, voltages and the
operational pressure!
