Step 4: Get camera working
Switch the 1st and 4th button to "ON", then press "OK"
button, LED screen will be lightened. Camera search signal
automatically which takes around 30-40sec, then you will
see the signal bar displayed in the top left corner of LED
screen.
VERY IMPORTANT WARNINGS
• If you want to receive pictures only by e-mail, disable the MMS and FTP functions, and do not enter phone numbers
in the Send To field.
• If you want to use the MMS function, make sure that you have an active MMS function on SIM card and that you have
tested the function before in a smartphone (you have sent and received an MMS with this SIM card).
• Test your SIM card in a phone and make sure you have: Internet (mobile data), SMS (for communication between Trail
Camera and smartphone), Credit and MMS enabled (for MMS use only).
• Camera will automatically enter MMS & 3G setups when the SIM card is inserted; If "SIM Automatch failed, pls enter
setups manually" pops up on screen, pls switch "SIM Auto Match" to "Manual" mode, then enter MMS & 3G setups in
"Manual Setup". For MMS, please enter your cellphone numbers in "Send to" "phone 1&2";
• For Emails, please enter your email address in "Send to" "email 1&2".
• For MMS, enter your mobile phone numbers in "Send to" "Phone 1 & 2" (only if you use the feature)
Note: Note: For detailed menu settings, please refer to instructions in Operation menu
• After you finish all setup, press "M" button to back to start screen, then press and hold "OK" button for 3 seconds, LED
screen will be turned off, and camera enter Motion detection mode.
* In Motion Detection mode, camera will take photos and video clips automatically and send photos to your cellphone or
email upon each motion trigger.
FAST TEST – SEND PICTURE BY E-MAIL
After you have passed and checked previous steps (SIM card verification, signal strenght, Auto Configure 3G settings) do
just the following:
1. Deactivate MMS and FTP from the camera menu; SMTP Must be on Default.
2. Enter the email address you want to receive the picture in the Send To menu at Mail1
3. Do not make other settings changes in camera.
4. Press the Menu Button until you exit the menu, and you will have on screen live image captured by camera;
5. Click the OK button to TEST: Take and send a test picture by mail.
6. 7The status messages for the picture will appear on the screen: "Send successfully" / "Send Failed" and if applicable an
error code.
7. If the message is "Send successfully", check your email address.
8. If the message is error, check the settings again, be correct, as indicated above.
FAST E-MAIL CONFIGURATION FROM DEDICATED SMARTPHONE APP TrailCamera
You can send basic settings to your camera, directly from your mobile app: TrailCamera, to quickly set up camera to send
images via email. Simply enter a SIM card with an active SMS, active Internet and no PIN (tested in a phone in advance)
and turn on the camera (ON button, and GSM ON button).
- Add the SIM card phone number in camera, to the Smartphone Trail Camera app.( Camera SIM Number).
- Copy the settings below, and only modify the phone numbers and email address with your own.
- Send the settings to the camera by pressing the send button.
- The camera will respond with an SMS "SMS commands executed successfully!"
- Give another command: „Get a picture" from same app: you will receive same sms and a mail with the picture taken by
camera.
- If it does not work, it means that the product has no GSM signal / Internet / Correct settings - and the camera should be
taken out in the open field where you have at least 2 signal lines. Check the cameras settings at the same time by carefully
consulting the product manual.
