SPRAYING TECHNIQUE

For best results, keep the airbrush at a distance of 15-20 cm from the object to be painted, and then
spray from left to right, and from up to down (fig. 8).
Never modify the inclination of the airbrush, which must always move parallel to the surface to be pain-
ted (see fig. 6).
Move the airbrush at a constant speed over the entire surface to be painted.
Release the trigger (fig. 8) at the end of the movement in one direction and then press it again at the start of
movement in the other, or return direction.
This avoids the creation of joining marks caused by a second passage. When vertical spraying is
performed, the airbrush must be shifted horizontally, when horizontal spraying is performed, the airbru-
sh must be shifted vertically.
When performing circular spraying, maintain a greater distance from the object being painted.
AIR PAINT TURBO COMPRESSOR MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Clean the body (nr.1/nr.2, fig. 9) using a clean, damp cloth and keep the filter (nr.7, fig. 9) under con-
stant control. Keep it clean by washing regularly with soap or blowing with compressed air whenever
necessary. Whenever replacement is required, use only original Wec spare parts. Use a screwdriver to
remove the upper part of the filter cover (nr.8, fig. 9) if necessary.
AIRBRUSH MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING! : never clean the airbrush using flammable material
Clean the spray gun thoroughly after each use. Whenever paint is permitted to harden inside, cleaning
becomes more difficult and the perfect operation of the airbrush will be compromised.
Always use the thinner (or solvent) recommended by the producer of the paint.
Always perform spray painting in sufficiently aerated surroundings.
Proceed as follows for the cleaning of the spray gun:
1. Unscrew the airbrush tank (nr.26, fig. 10).
2. Pour the paint left inside back into its recipient.
3. Pour a small quantity of thinner inside the tank, shake the airbrush and then after switching it on,
spray the thinner into an appropriate cleaning recipient. Repeat the operation until only pure thinner
is sprayed out.
4. Remove every trace of paint remaining inside and outside the tank.
5. Clean the gasket positioned beneath the tank lid (nr.36, fig. 10)
Nozzle and needle
1. Unscrew the ring (nr.27) and remove the butterfly nozzle (nr.28).
2. Unscrew the adjustment screw all the way (nr.29).
3. Remove the spring (nr.30) and push the needle outward (nr.31). If difficulties arise in the
removal of the needle, unscrew the stuffing nut (nr.32); the needle ring (nr.33) can remain inside.
4. Unscrew the internal nozzle (nr.34) using the appropriate wrench.
5. Remove the flat gasket (nr.35).
Place all the parts removed in a container and then clean using thinner (we recommend using a
brush). Dry each part well with a clean cloth before re-assembly. Re-assemble the parts removed
by performing the disassembly operations in inverse order.
IMPORTANT!: the internal nozzle (nr.34) must be re-assembled before the needle (nr.31).
We recommend applying a little grease on the stuffing nut (nr.32) and tightening carefully
(the needle must move freely).
