Programming
Please follow the safety instructions and apply
the handbrake. The programming does not
need ignition, neither to have the engine
started.
If a HomeLink button has been programmed
to activate a device, and you now wish to use
this button to operate a different device,
proceed as follows. This procedure will replace
the existing programming of the respective
HomeLink button.
NOTE:
If you are programming the HomeLink for the
first time, it is recommended to erase the
factory set default codes by following the erase
instructions (see Erase Programmed Homelink
Buttons chapter).
1) Press the appropriate HomeLink button
I, II, or III which you want to program and
hold it for about 20 seconds until the
HomeLink diode starts flashing slowly
(fig.2). Do not release until step 4 has been
completed!
NOTE:
If erase procedure has been previously used,
you can directly train the Homelink unit with
your remote control, when you push on I, II
or III and the diode is flashing slowly without
waiting for 20 sec.

2) When the diode begins to flash slowly,
continue to press the button, and hold the
remote control of the device you wish to
train approx. 0 - 30 cm away from the
HomeLink transmitter unit.
NOTE:
The distance between the remote control and
the HomeLink transmitter unit depends on the
system being programmed. You may need
several attempts at different distances.
Maintain each setting position for at least
30 seconds before trying out another.
3) Keeping the button pressed, activate (press)
the remote control and keep it pressed
(fig.3).
4) The HomeLink diode will flash, first slowly
and then rapidly. When the diode flashes
rapidly, release both buttons.
The rapid flashing light indicates successful
programming of the new frequency signal.

To program the remaining two buttons, follow
steps 1 to 4 again.
NOTE:
If your system has rolling code feature, please
read section Rolling Code Synchronisation -
Programming.
