CLEANING AND CARE

Before

DESCALING

1. Decalcifying the coffee machine
prolongs its life span and reduces
power consumption. For decalci-
fication only use products espe-
cially made for decalcification of
coffee makers. Always follow the
instructions on the packet. Repeat
this procedure if necessary.

We recommend cleaning by hand.
For easier cleaning the lid of the
carafe can be removed. Hold
the lid vertically and then tilt it
towards one side, until the hol-
ding notch releases from the
handle. To reinstall the lid, pro-
ceed in reverse order.
Clean the surface of the appliance
with a damp cloth.
Do not use strong detergents or
abrasive cloths/liquid, as this will
damage the surface.
Let the appliance cool down after
decalcification. Then run it at
least two times with the maximum
quantity of fresh cold water to
remove any residues of the decal-
cifying agent which might affect
the coffee taste.
