general Description
The Stuart heating mantles have been specifically
designed for heating fluids in round bottomed
flasks. Heating control is provided by a built-in
solid state simmerstat (50, 100, 250 and 500ml
mantles) or an energy regulator (1000ml mantle).
The maximum element temperature is 450ºC.
The mantles are housed in an aluminium case
with stove paint finish to give good chemical
resistance. The units are provided with ventilation
slots in the base and around the rim to allow
convection cooling. All mantles also have a
support rod positioning clamp at the side of the
unit.
