1 - DEFINITION

This insert hearth is a continuous heating appliance with
an on-grid combustion using wood exclusively, with a
semi-closed combustion chamber. It is meant to be built-
in a fireplace or an existing hearth.
Rated heating value in accordance with French Standard
EN 13229 during testing at normal speed : 8 kW.

2 - DESCRIPTION AND OVERALL DIMENSIONS

2.1 - Description

The main components of your stove are indicated below
and can also be found on Fig. 1.
The combustion chamber is in 4mm steel, and the
bottom of the stove includes a cast iron plate.
A sheet metal casing protects both the air-cooling
system around the combustion chamber and the
fireplace walls from heat radiation, ensuring both safety
and high performance.
The door is in cast iron and includes seals which ensure
smoke-tightness and enable the stove to stay in for a
very long time.
The damper situated in the lower part of the door is used
to adjust the fuel burning rate.
A secondary air intake is included in the upper part of the
glass in order to keep it clean and also so that wood
burns more efficiently.
A two-speed blower allows the circulation of hot air to be
activated. This equipment allows you to send a hot air
flow in 4 different directions (adjacent rooms). Non
equipped with a shaft, it will improve the convection in
the room where your chimney is installed.

3 - SURROUNDS AND ACCESSORIES

3.1 - Surrounds

Your Insert-stove can be installed within either an
existing fireplace or a new DEVILLE fireplace.

3.2 - Optional extras

On request, the stove may be supplied with the following
accessories :
•
Four hot air outlets, dia 125 mm, réf. C07006.EU01,
for supplying hot air to adjacent rooms (Fig. 3).

Barbecue kit C07127.

3.3 - Installation of optional extras

Hot air outlet assembly (C07006.EU01) :
•
This set, furnished in option, must be fit before
setting the hearth in the chimney.
•
To execute the setting, refer to the indications in the
instructions joined to this option.

3.4 - Blower electrical connection

- The device is delivered with a flexible cable of an
approximate length of 1.5m, allowing it to be connected
to the electricity supply network. The end of the cable is
situated at the bottom of the left-hand rear part of your
fireplace and you will have to pull it (without forcing) to
take it out. On the fixed installation, set up an omnipolar
partition device with an opening distance of contacts of
at least 3 mm : this device will enable you to isolate the
appliance from the electrical supply network. The
installation should be in accordance with the French
standard NFC 15100, and in particular the earth (green
and yellow wire) should be connected.
- The rated power of the blower is 40 W – incoming
voltage 230 V.
- It might be necessary to remove the ventilator or the
fireplace from its housing : for this purpose keep a
sufficient length of cable so that these operations may be
carried out without pulling on the cable.
