3.2 Ballast pockets
If your product comes with ballast pockets (Subea 500 model only):
First, be sure to choose your weights correctly.
Î Remove the ballast pocket from the BC
Maximum ballast 3 kg per pocket, giving 6 kg in total.
Î Then close the ballast pocket and attach it to the buoyancy compensator
Always check it's correctly positioned.
If you use more than 6 kg of ballast or a buoyancy compensator without ballast pockets, it's best
to wear a belt.
ATTENTION: The weights and removable pockets must be fully secured with loops
fully and properly engaged. The loss of ballast pockets when diving can cause positive
buoyancy and an uncontrolled ascent that can result in injury or death.
3.3 SUBEA buoyancy compensator: User comfort when diving
DECATHLON patent - Ergonomic «backpack»-style straps adapted for use with a buoyancy
compensator:
This innovation concerns the load-carrying system that has the advantage of freeing up
the user's chest, whatever their gender.
When normally mounted, a strap is placed on the chest or at the side of the chest, causing
problems of discomfort.
The exclusive mounting of the straps of your TRIBORD buoyancy compensator provides
greater user comfort and plenty of freedom of movement.
