USING THE APPLIANCE

Before first use
Before first use, or after long periods of storage of the appliance, wash all parts that come into contact with
food.

Assembling the appliance

1.
Place the motor base 7 on an even surface, for example kitchen counter and make sure that it stands
firmly on all four suction feet.
2.
Attach to the motor base 7 the rotating mesh case 3 so that the spout is flush with the opening on the
side of the base.
3.
Before you start juicing, make sure that the no-drip cap is removed from the spout 5.
4.
Insert the pulp container 0 under the casing edge until it firmly snaps into the motor base.
5.
Carefully secure the rotating mesh qf in the casing. Be careful not to touch the sharp parts on the bottom
of the mesh.
6.
Make sure that the mesh is well seated in the casing so that the gear teeth of the mesh fit well in the drive
GB
gear.
7.
Make sure that the mesh is not seated in the casing too loosely and rotates evenly.
8.
Place the top cover on the appliance 1 in such a way that it covers the pulp container and the rotating
mesh unit. Make sure that the cover is firmly seated on the mesh casing.
9.
Open the locking mechanism 4 in vertical position (A) and make sure that it is properly locked at the top
cover. Proper locking is signalled by a snap.
10. Place the juice container under the spout of the juicer 6.

Preparing fruits and vegetables for juicing

Always wash the fruits and vegetables thoroughly before juicing.
It is not necessary to remove seeds, kernels or thin peel before insertion in the juicer.
You have to peel fruits with thick peel, for example oranges or lemons, before juicing. It is very important
to remove the whole peel, because even the smallest part of the peel can pass an unpleasant taste to the
juice.
It is also necessary to remove large pits (for example from plums and apricots) to prevent damaging the
appliance.
Large fruits should be cut to pieces to pass through the filling opening of the feeding tube.
Juicing
1.
Before you plug in the juicer in an electrical outlet, make sure that the on/off switch is in the off position.
2.
To turn the juicer on, turn the switch to position "1" (low speed) or "2" (high speed).
3.
Low speed is suitable for juicing of soft fruits and vegetables.
4.
High speed is suitable for juicing of harder fruits and vegetables.
5.
Insert the selected fruits and vegetables in the feeding tube one by one and use the tamper to push the
individual pieces down. Never use fingers, kitchen tools or other objects!
6.
Turn the tamper so the slot of the tamper correctly fits in the feeding tube.
7.
Long pieces of vegetables, for example carrots, should be placed in the feeding tube thin side first.
8.
Push the fruits and vegetables through the feeding tube using only gentle pressure on the tamper. Too
much pressure would squeeze less juice and it could damage the appliance.
9.
Before removing the tamper and adding more pieces of fruit, stop the appliance first to prevent splashing
of the juice.
10. Watch the pulp container and stop the juicing before the container fills entirely.
11. ALWAYS stop the juicer before you remove the top cover by turning the switch to "0" position.
Attention: Do not leave the juicer running continuously longer than 3 minutes. After 3 minutes of running, let
the appliance cool down for 20 minutes before next use.
