INSTALL THE LASER SYSTEM
1. Open the package, you will find the following parts as shown in Fig. 1:
a – Laser light system
b – Two 6-32 screws with washer
2. Screw the laser box in position with the screw provided. (Fig.2)
ADJUSTMENT OF THE LASER BEAM
The laser line will require careful adjustment after it is installed on your saw and
periodically thereafter.
1. To align the laser beam so it is parallel to the saw blade and the cutting line,
loosen the screw at the bottom of laser plastic case, just above the brass
laser barrel. Turn the laser on and rotate the brass barrel until the beam is
aligned straight in direction of the blade path.
2. The laser line beam can be adjusted left to right. Place a tile or heavy piece of
paper or cardboard on the table of your saw; tape it in place so it does not
move. Pull the motor head towards the paper until the paper contacts the
blade, and make a thin pencil line where the blade meets. Slide the motor
head back.
3. Loosen the mounting screws on the laser housing (Fig. 3) and rotate left or
right so the laser beam is aligned with the pencil mark.
4. If the housing will not rotate far enough, remove the plastic cover of the laser
housing. Slightly loosen the two small screws between the batteries, and
again rotate the laser housing unit until the beam is aligned with the pencil
mark. Tighten all screws, and replace the cover.
5. The laser beam will now project the path of the blade for accurate cutting
(Fig. 4)
Repeat the above steps if the laser beam needs adjustment after use.
