6. Instructions for use
Submit surgical instruments and all the components
of the case to the cleaning processes of washing,
drying and inspection according to the method
described in this manual. Accommodate the
components and instruments of the Acrsys Implant
System according to the engravings in the internal
niches. The instruments must be stored in their
corresponding slots, so that they are adequately
held in their niches during the autoclaving process
for their correct identification when needed and
adequate accommodation and conservation when
they are not in use.
The proper handling when opening and closing the
cases is essential for their maintenance and long-
lasting duration. Please note the step-by-step
instructions for this procedure:

instruments during use, the Arcsys kit has tilting niches that can
be activated through a soft pressure on their base. To raise them,
press the base of the niche, to lower, press the upper part down.
7
7: The surgical version has a drawer to accommodate some
instruments (folding device, abutment placement tool and
extractor), and can be fully detached for better access in the
operating field.
8
8: To close, press the lid with the thumb on the button till it
clicks. Attention: make sure the drawer is completely closed
to allow for the adequate locking of the lid.
Important: The Prosthetic Kit (fig. 2) does not have
tilting niches and drawer for storing tools (fig. 5, 6
and 7). This condition is valid only for the Surgical and
Prosthetic Kit (fig. 1).
7. Conservation and storage
• FGM Sterilizable Polymer Cases must be stored,
after sterilization, in a dry and cool place, without
contact or presence of humidity, and must be
immediately used after the sterilization process to
avoid any risks of contamination.
• Store the product under temperatures between
5ºC and 45ºC (39ºF to 113ºF).
• Store case preferably on metal or glass shelves,
which allow daily cleaning and hygiene to guarantee
that the storing environment is free of dust and
- 11 -
variations that may affect the perfect conservation
of the stored product.
• Do not store product on high shelves, close to
lamps, in order not to over dry the package or make
the printed label fade.
• Do not store the cases directly on the floor.
• Do not store the cases in areas where contaminant
substances such as pesticides, insecticides or
cleaning products are used.
8. How to clean and sterilize
8.1 Washing
• Always use potable water for this procedure.
• If the water is heated, to make this cleaning phase
easier, the temperature should be between 30ºC
and 40ºC (86ºF and 104ºF ).
• Use a neutral and enzymatic detergent. The dilution
should be done according to the manufacturer's
recommendation.
• Insert the whole body of the case in the detergent
solution, maintaining the solution in contact with
the product for at least 3 minutes.
• Rub the external surface with a soft sponge, at least
5 times, proximal to distal. Repeat the procedure
until all visible dirt is eliminated making sure all
grooves have been washed.
• Rub the internal surface of each lumen with a soft
brush, adjusted to the size of the lumen, at least 5
times, from proximal to distal. Repeat until all visible
dirt is eliminated.
• Always use soft natural or nylon brittle brushes for
cleaning racks, serrations and fittings.
• Never use straw, steel sponges or abrasive products
not to damage the instruments being used.
• Do not pile up a large quantity of instruments one
on top of the other to avoid the deformation of
the smaller and more delicate pieces and to avoid
scratches on the polished surfaces. Always handle
only a few pieces at a time.
