Comb and the Prongs (2f).

3. Locate the Prong cones in the Cutter
pl
holes (2g).

hr
down the Tension Nut until light
resistance is felt.

Warning! Injuries and material
ru
damage due to incorrect blade
fitting.
ar
f Only operate the appliance after
the blades have been correctly
fitted, positioned and tensioned.
f Switch off the appliance and
disconnect it from the mains
before removing or fitting the
blades.
Setting the Lead (Fig. 3)
Slide the Comb (3a) backwards / forwards

Setting the Throw (Fig. 4)
Slide the Comb (4a) left / right to ensure
that the Cutter (4b) moves evenly across
the Comb and overlaps the outer teeth by
an equal amount (4c). Then check that the
Lead is still correct before fully tightening
the Comb Screws.
Setting the Tension (Fig. 4)
Screw down the Tension Nut (4d) until light
resistance is felt. Then screw down further,
between 1/8 turn (minimum) and 1/4 turn
(maximum). Note that insufficient Tension
will cause wool to collect under the Cutter,
reducing cutting performance.
Warning! Injuries and material
damage due to incorrect Tension.
f The Tension must not be reduced
/ removed whilst the machine is in
operation as the cutter may fly off.
f Excessive Tension will overheat
the blades.
Lubrication (Fig. 2)
1. Oil the blades (2p) every 5-10 minutes
use "R30" or good quality engine oil.
Brush them clean of grit and dirt.
2. Frequently oil the Prong swivel joints
(2q).
3. Frequently oil the Crank Roller and both
ends of the Tension Pin via the front oil
hole (2r).
4. Frequently oil the Fulcrum Post via the
top oil hole (2s)
5. Occasionally replace the grease inside
the Sliding Sleeve (2t) using "R2"
grease. Do not grease the Tension Nut.
Mains operation (Fig 4.)
1. Connect the mains plug to the mains
socket.
2. Switch on the appliance by sliding the on
/ off switch (4e) in the forwards direction
(4f).
