PROBLeM
Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer will not turn on.
The Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer is not
communicating with the display unit/computer.
Impossible to obtain a correct detection of the
brake disc or tyre profile.

POssIBLe cAuse
Battery pack not charged.
The multifunction button was not pressed
long enough.
The distance between the Brake Disc and Tyre
Analyzer and the display unit/computer is excessive.
The Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer and/or the display
unit/computer are shielded by some type of material.
The Bluetooth® registry is corrupted.
The adapter is attached while the analysis of the brake
disc is in progress.
The laser beam is cut-off by a wheel spoke.
The laser beam is not sufficiently aligned with the
centre of the brake disc.
The magnet is not securely anchored to the brake disc
creating an incorrect laser beam angle of incidence.
The laser beam's angle of incidence is wrong.
The tool needs to calibrated.
The Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer's magnet is not
correctly inserted in the adapter.
There are foreign objects (e.g. gravel) stuck in the
tyre grooves.
The adapter is not flat on the thread tread creating an
incorrect laser beam angle of incidence.
The Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer is not positioned on
one of the tyre's central grooves.
The laser beam is not sufficiently perpendicular to the
thread groove .
The laser beam passes over the tread wear indicators.
sOLutION
Check battery pack charging requirements.
Keep the multifunction button pressed for 1 second.
Place the display unit/computer and Brake Disc and
Tyre Analyzer closer to each other.
Remove the shield.
Remove Bluetooth® device from registry. Refer to
display unit Windows documentation for specific
directions for removing a Bluetooth® device.
Remove the adapter.
Redirect the laser beam.
Redirect the laser beam.
Anchor the magnet to the brake disc correctly.
Check for, and eventually remove, any foreign object or
dirt from the brake disc.
Refer to the Periodical Tool Check.
Check for, and eventually remove, any foreign object or
dirt from the magnet and/or adapter.
Remove the foreign objects or reposition the tool is an
area without foreign objects.
Reposition the Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer.
Reposition the Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer.
Redirect the laser beam.
Reposition the Brake Disc and Tyre Analyzer.
