4. Safety Notes
• This device is intended for private, non-
commercial use only.
• Protect the device from dirt, moisture and overheating,
and only use it in dry locations.
• Do not drop the device and do not expose it to any major
shocks.
• Do not operate the device outside of its operating limits
as de ned in the technical speci cations.
• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it
becomes damaged.
• Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children
due to the risk of suffocation.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately according to
locally applicable regulations.
• Do not modify the device in any way. Doing so voids the
warranty.
Warning - batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+
and - markings) and place.
• the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could
result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
• Do not short-circuit the batteries.
• Do not recharge the batteries.
• Do not throw the batteries in a re.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not allow children to change batteries without
supervision.
• If the device is not used for a long period of time,
remove the batteries.
5. Getting Started

5.1 Insert the batteries:

Open the battery compartment on the back and insert
three batteries (AAA/Micro). Make sure that the polarity
(+/-) is correct. Close the battery compartment fully.

5.2 . Units of measurement

The following units of measurement can be selected: "g"
(gram), "ml" (milk volume), "ml" (water volume), "lb:oz"
(ounces), " :oz" (troy ounces). Press the Unit button to
select one of the units of measurement in the given order:
g-ml (water) – ml (milk). On the UK/US devices, you have
to hold the UNIT button for approx. 3 seconds until "lb:oz"
appears on the display. Press the UNIT button again to
select between "lb:oz – :oz (water) – :oz (milk).
