Wrist support with stabilising rod
and belt strap
Indications
• Mild instability
• Joint effusion, swelling and irritation
(e.g. arthrosis, inflammation of the
tendon sheath, overloading, injury,
postoperative)
Contraindications
Diseases or injuries to the skin,
sensitivity or perfusion disorders in the
arms, lymph drainage disorders.
Mechanism of action
The combination of compressive
knitted fabric, belt strap and rod has a
stabilising effect, which prevents
disadvantageous movements of the
wrist joint. This reduces stress on the
lower arm musculature, as well as the
tendons and tendon insertions in the
affected area, and alleviates pain.
Instructions for fitting
Before fitting the support, open the
belt strap.
Pull the support over the hand and
insert the thumb through the lateral
opening (Fig. 1).
Pull the belt strap round the joint and
attach the end to the strap (Fig. 2+3).
Please note that the support should be
fitted for the first time as instructed by
trained specialists.
Care instructions
Fats, oils, lotions and ointments may
attack the bandage material. Wash the
support on a gentle machine cycle at
30°C, preferably by hand.
   
Note on storage
Store dry at room temperature.
Protect from direct sunlight and
moisture.
Note on wear
Supports have the greatest effect
during physical activity. In principle,
the bandage can be worn throughout
the day. During long periods of rest
(e.g. sleeping), the support should be
removed.
Important notes on use
The support is only recommended for
use by a single patient. The
manufacturer's product liability - in
the sense of the Law on Medical
Devices – is invalid if the support is
used by more than one patient or if it is
not used properly. At the present time,
no side effects are known. If you suffer
excessive pain or develop an unple-
asant feeling when wearing the
support, please remove the product at
once and contact your doctor or the
responsible specialist suppliers.
