How to Clean
1. After each use and before washing, unplug power
cord from wall outlet and allow the unit to cool.
2. Carefully remove lid. CAUTION! All internal parts,
coffee grounds, and any remaining coffee may
still be hot.
3. Remove the coffee tank assembly from base.
4. Wash the inside of the coffee tank and all parts with
warm, soapy water. WARNING! Shock Hazard.
Do not immerse the base or tank in water.
The basket and drip tray are dishwasher safe.
5. Wipe the outside of the coffee tank with a damp
cloth and dry with a towel. Store the coffee urn
with the lid off.

Inspect the coffee urn and its various parts and maintain or replace as follows:
Daily
Rinse and let dry after each use.
Weekly

Solution . . .
• Residue trapped in coffee tank dispensing mechanism under Coffee Tank
Seal/Filter. See How to Clean.
• Mineral deposits have built up. Clean urn following instructions in How to Clean.
• Water tank is empty.
• Unit is unplugged.
• Power outage.
• Power surge. Unplug then plug the unit back in.
• Stem Assembly is not aligned with Heat Well.
6. After repeated use, there may be some coffee
stains and accumulation of oils that can cause a
bitter taste. Periodically use a coffee-stain remover
or special cleanser and follow package directions
for cleaning. Rinse well after cleaning. Dispense
several cups through the coffee dispensing bar in
addition to cleaning the tank. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or pads on any part of the coffee urn.
7. Coffee Tank Seal/Filter should be removed and
cleaned frequently. Unscrew seal from inside tank
and wash in warm, soapy water. Replace seal and
tighten.
