This Guided Type Fall Arrester with a flexible anchor line is to EN353-2:2002 for fall arrest (to arrest a fall, should a fall
occur), when working up and down through the vertical plane. The Guided Type Fall Arrester with a flexible anchor line
should be selected with appropriate connectors (at the top of the rope for connection to the anchorage point and on
the energy absorber for connection to the full body harness) for the application it is intended to be used in.
The energy absorber end must be connected to the User's full body harness on an attachment point marked with an
‚A'.

The number at the end of the code = the connector type on the energy absorber
The number after AG01 = the ‚Rope Length of the System, e.g. 2000 = 20m
• be trained in its use and the pre-use inspection requirements
• not use it if they have any medical conditions which could affect their safety in normal and emergency use
• ensure that a rescue plan is in operation when it is being used in a fall arrest situation
• not make any alterations, additions or repairs to the Guided Type Fall Arrest System

that which it is intended and that the user has been trained to do
• ensure the compatibility of other items and equipment used with the Guided Type Fall Arrester with a flexible
anchor line when
assembled into a fall protection system
• always refer to the instructions for use issued with other items or equipment
• ensure that no dangers arise through the use of combinations of items or equipment in which the safe function
of
any one item is affected by or interferes with the safe function of another
• ensure that the Guided Type Fall Arrester with a flexible anchor line is in a serviceable condition and operates
correctly before it is used
• withdraw it from service immediately should any doubt arise about its condition for safe use or if it has been
involved in a fall
• select a suitable anchor point, or building to serve as the anchor point(s), ensuring that it is in a
suitable position for the work activity and application and has the minimum strength of 9 kN
• connect the connector at the top of the rope directly to the anchor points or an anchorage device
• use an anchorage device (e.g. a anchorage sling) if attachment to a building is required
• attach the energy Absorber connector of Guided Type Fall Arrester with a flexible anchor line to the correct
attachment point on
their full body harness - the front or rear ‚D' ring / harness attachment point marked with an ‚A' should be the
only attachment points used. Where the harness has two loops on the front (each marked with a ½ ‚A') the
GuidedType Fall Arrester with a flexible anchor line MUST connect into both loops.
• When using this type of system normally the front attachment point is the most appropriate. The User must be
trained on how to select the most appropriate attachment point depending on the application it is being used in
• No additional connectors or lanyards should be used in the system when connecting to the full body harness,

ensure that the anchor point is positioned correctly
• the anchorage point should be as high as possible and always above the position of work, as vertical as po
sible in line with the work activity to minimise any ‚swing' during a fall and is positioned to minimise any
possble collision with the structure and or other protrusions
• ensure in case of a fall there will be no collision with the ground or other obstacle in the fall path because of
the free space required beneath the system.
