All our products are manufactured in accordance with the regulations in force.
This instruction manual is intended exclusively for professional installers who are experts in the construction criteria and safety and accident
protection devices for gates, doors and motorized doors (follow the rules and laws in force).
The installer must provide adequate explanations and issue the end user with an instruction manual in accordance with EN 12635.
Before proceeding with the installation, the installer must analyse the risks of the final automated closing and the safety of the entire system
(following the standards EN 12453 and EN 12445).
The wiring of the various electrical components forming part of the automated closure (e.g. photocells, flashing lights, etc.) must be carried out in
accordance with EN 60204-1 and the modifications made by it in point 5.2.2 of EN 12453.
Any repair or adjustment of the equipment is prohibited unless all precautions have been taken to avoid possible accidents. All moving parts must
be equipped with appropriate protections.
The supply line must be protected for the maximum current when the rotor is blocked.
Install the gearmotor on gates in compliance with EN 12604.
Have the force developed by the operator measured and adopt the measures provided for in EN 12445.
Positioning of any pair of photocells: the radius of the photocells must not be higher than 70 cm from the ground and at a distance from the
movement plane of the leaf not higher than 20 cm. Their correct functioning must be verified at the end of the installation according to point 7.2.1 of
EN12445.
All repair operations must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Keep the controls of the operator out of the reach of children. The controls must be installed at a minimum height of 1.5 m above the ground and
outside the range of action of moving parts.
Operate the remote control only in view of the automation. All control operations must be carried out only in points where the automation is
completely visible.
Any arbitrary modification made to this product, relieves the manufacturer of any liability resulting from damage to or injury to property, persons or
animals.
Failure to observe the safety rules listed here and the regulations in force relieves the manufacturer of any liability resulting from damage to or injury
to property, persons or animals.
Keep this manual in a suitable place known to all concerned.
The automation must be coupled to a control unit equipped with a torque control that provides an intrinsic anti-crushing safety as indicated in
standard EN 12453 - EN 12445.

SAFETY RULES

-
Safe distance
-
Moving mechanisms
-
Do not install automation in an environment saturated with explosive mixtures
-
Electric Shock
-
Use gloves!
-
Use welding glasses
-
Keep ear protection
MAINTENANCE
-
Restorations must be carried out by qualified people.
-
Before any maintenance work is carried out, disconnect the power supply from the main switch and lock it in that position with a padlock.
-
The equipment must be maintained in such a way as to preserve the conditions that guarantee safety and correct operation.
-
Always use original spare parts
-
Do not make interventions that modify the machine.
-
The modified equipment requires new CE mark
-
The settings of the automatism function must be made by specialized personnel, in compliance with the reference standards.
-
During these operations provide the presence of two operators for safety.
DEMOLITION
The materials must be disposed of in accordance with the regulations in force. If materials are to be recovered, it is advisable to separate them by
type (copper, aluminium, plastic, electrical parts, etc.). Follow these instructions to move the automation:
- cut off the power supply and disconnect the electrical installation;
- dismantle the control console and all the other components of the installation.
If you notice that some components have been damaged, you have to replace them.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
The SARGON S - M- L series gearmotor complies with the following standards:
It complies with the conditions of the EEC Machinery Directive 89/392 all. II par B and subsequent amendments.
Complies with the conditions of the following other EC directives:
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive EEC 89/336, as amended;
Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC, and subsequent amendments.
The following harmonised standards have been applied:
EN292/1/2, EN 294, EN60335-1, UNI EN 12453, to the extent applicable EN12445-2000
USE OF AUTOMATION
The Sargon gearmotor has been designed and built for the opening of gates with a maximum sash of 5 m or a maximum weight of 200 kg.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for any use other than that provided by the gearmotor.
Since the automation can be controlled remotely or visually via a button or remote control, it is essential to frequently check the perfect efficiency of
all safety devices. It is advisable to check periodically (every six months) the adjustment of the electronic clutch with which the control unit must be
equipped.
PRELIMINARY CHECKS
1 Read carefully the instructions enclosed in this manual.
2 Make sure that the gate has a rather solid structure and that there is no friction points in its movement.
3 Make sure that the leaf is suitably balanced, even after the installation of the gear motor.
4 Check that the electrical installation is in accordance with the characteristic required by the gear motor.
EMERGENCY MANEUVER
For manual locking and unlocking of the doors, use the supplied key on screw C (see FIG 1).
1 - Remove the protective cap
2 - Insert the supplied key in the seat as shown in the figure
3 - Turn the key in the direction indicated by the arrow on the upper part of the gearmotor to unlock and in the opposite direction for
