Functional principle

There are several infrared sensors in the flush panel. These sensors scan different
detection ranges. The distances of the different detection ranges are not precisely
defined, it depends how strongly the infrared light is reflected by the respective
object (piece of clothing etc.). Presence detection (C) scans a wide range.
As soon as someone passes the threshold to this detection range, the flush
panel lights up and thus signals that the WC controller is ready for operation.
The detection range user detection (B) measures whether a user is sitting
or standing in front of the WC controller. Nothing (wall, curtain, door etc.)
may be permanently located within this range. If the system detects a seated
user, the manual flushing mechanism is deactivated to prevent flushing being
triggered unintentionally by the user leaning back during use.
When the user's hand reaches the detection range for manual flushing (A),
the WC controller triggers a partial or full flush. Manual triggering of the
flushing function is only possible when there is someone within the presence
detection range (C).

Operation

When you approach the toilet, the two buttons on the flush plate light up.
Hold your hand within the triggering range to trigger flushing. It is not nec-
essary to touch the flush panel. The triggering range begins approx. 9 cm in
front of the flush panel.
■ For a full flush, hold your hand in front of the left-hand flush button
■ For a partial flush, hold your hand in front of the right-hand flush button
Cleaning the flush panel
Aggressive and abrasive detergents can damage the surface.
Do not use chloric, acidic, abradant or corrosive detergents.
► Clean the flush panel with mild detergents and water
