Heat pump operation

The Heat pump module produces domestic hot water by using the
renowned technology based on the operating principle described below:
• The refrigerant fluid changes its state in the evaporator by taking heat
from the low-temperature source (external air).
The compressor, which is the very heart of the system, increases the
energetic level of the heat taken: when the pressure of the refrigerant
fluid increases, in fact, the latter reaches temperatures higher than
domestic hot water.
It becomes possible, in the condenser, to transfer thermal energy to
domestic water, heating it up to 55°C. Storage allows storing and keeping
heat for a long time, thanks to the polyurethane insulating cover.
• Finally, the fluid passes through the expansion unit, goes back to low
pressure, cools down and is available again to "load" other "ecological"
heat from external air.
Auxiliary sources can also be used, such as additional heat exchangers
connected to boilers or solar panels. The standard unit uses a single-
phase 1.5 kW heating element. The carbon steel tank is internally treated
with Polywarm
and features a magnesium anode and an external
®
coating in galvanised and painted sheet steel.

7.2 Safety standards
The Manufacturer declines any responsibility for the
failure to observe the safety and accident prevention
standards described below.
Moreover, it declines any responsibility for damage caused by improper use
of the product and/or modifications implemented without prior authorisation:
• Installation and start-up must be carried out by specialised personnel.
• Suitable safety and accident-prevention clothing must be used during
installation operations, such as for example: goggles, gloves, etc. as
indicated by 686/89/EEC standards and subsequent amendments.
• Installation operations must be carried out under completely safe
conditions, in a clean place free from obstacles.
• Observe the laws in force in the Country of installation of the machine
concerning the use and disposal of the packaging and of the products
used for cleaning and maintenance of the machine, as well as the
recommendations by the manufacturer of such products.
• Before starting the unit, check that its components and the entire
system are perfectly intact.
• Never touch moving parts or stand between them.
• Do not perform any maintenance and cleaning operations without first
disconnecting the mains.
• The maintenance and the replacement of damaged or worn parts
must be carried out only by specialised personnel according to the
indications provided in this manual.
• Spare parts must comply with the requirements defined by the
Manufacturer.
• If the product is to be dismantled, comply with the relevant anti-
pollution regulations.
NOTE: W hen using the product, the installer and the user must
take into account and fix any other type of risk linked to the
system. For example, risks deriving from the introduction of
foreign bodies, or those due to the conveying of dangerous
flammable or toxic gases at high temperatures.
7.3 Preliminary operations
• Check that the various components of the unit are perfectly intact.
• Only use the components supplied or components specific for the
installation.
• Check that the packaging contains the documentation.
• Move the packed section as close as possible to the installation place.
• Do not stack tools or weights on the packed unit.

7.4 Installation place

Before performing the installation, check that the following
installation conditions are met.
Product performance and safety are not guaranteed for
outdoor installations or installations that do not comply with the
provisions of this booklet.
