and water after contact or flush eyes if contact occurs.
3) WARNINGS
1) Not injecting material under pressure into the canal.
2) Carbamide Peroxide and EDTA should not be applied to tissue outside of the Root Canal such as
mucosa of skin. Wash skin with soap and water after contact.
3) Glyde™ canal conditioner should extrude easily; DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE.
4) A single-unit dose or syringe tip of Glyde™ is designed to be used during approximately one endodontic
case (tooth) with multiple canals. Use one single unit dose or syringe tip of Glyde™ per patient.
5) Do not swallow.
4) PRECAUTIONS
The viscosity of Glyde™ is affected by storage conditions. If a more viscous or thicker consistency is
desired, store in a refrigerator.
In the event of ingestion, contact with eyes or skin, please contact a doctor immediately.
It is recommended to wear protective clothing when using this product.
5) ADVERSE REACTIONS
• Irritating to eyes (R36) – Irritating to skin (R38);
• Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness (R67).
6) STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1) Open the pulp chamber in the usual manner and obtain adequate access to the root canals.
2) Remove the pulp and flush canal with sodium hypochlorite solution.
3) Dispense Glyde™ either directly from the unit dose applicator (or from the syringe with the Glyde™
syringe tip in place) in and around the canal orifice,
OR
dispense Glyde™ from the applicator (or from the syringe with the Glyde™ syringe tip in place) to a
dappen dish and carry to the canal by coating a small hand file.
4) The sodium hypochlorite will react with the Glyde™ and begin to effervesce or bubble.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE BUBBLING REACTION.
5) Using a small hand file, explore the canal, mixing the Glyde™ and sodium hypochlorite.
6) Gently irrigate and evacuate with sodium hypochlorite.
7) For mechanized shaping techniques coat the first file in the rotary file technique with Glyde™ and use
to desired depth. Glyde™ will now act as a file lubricant while instrumenting the canal with a rotary
instrument.
NOTE: irrigate and evacuate using sodium hypochlorite to remove Glyde™ mixture and dentinal debris
from canal after every 2 files in the rotary file sequence.
8) For manual shaping techniques repeat step 7 for each step in the crown-down technique sequence until
canal shaping and cleaning is completed.
9) Once shaping is completed, thoroughly flush and evacuate canal using H
canal and obturate.
