5. If the difference between the temperature of Solar Collector Sensor S3 and Solar Collector Return Sensor S4 is greater
than the Minimum - Solar Circulating Pump Modulation temperature differential parameter value (Installer parameter,
default equal to 10°C) plus triple the Solar Circulating Pump Modulation temperature differential parameter value
(Installer parameter, default equal to 5°C), the Solar Circulating Pump works at speed 5 (Max. power, 100%).
To signal this mode, the symbol E will be lit.
NB: If, at the moment of Solar Circulating Pump activation, the ECOTRONIC tech regulator does not have to set
speed 5 (Max. power, 100%), in the fi rst second of operation the Solar Circulating Pump will in any case work
at speed 5 (Max. power, 100%).
If the Solar Circulating Pump Operation parameter (Installer parameter, default equal to 1=Modulating) is set to
0 there will be no modulation: the Solar Circulating Pump will work in On/Off mode according to the normal Solar
Circulating Pump activation/deactivation algorithms. To signal this mode, the symbol E will always be lit.
Solar Circulating Pump deactivation
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is lower than the Tank max. temperature parameter value (Instal-
ler parameter, default equal to 60°C) and if the difference (positive) between the temperature of Solar Collector
Sensor S3 and the temperature of Solar Collector Return Sensor S4 is less than or equal to the Deactivation
temperature differential parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 4°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator deactivates the Solar Circulating Pump.
If the temperature of Hot Water Tank Sensor S2 is higher than or equal to the Tank max. temperature parameter
value (Installer parameter, default equal to 60°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator deactivates the Solar
Circulating Pump.
To signal this mode, the Solar Circulating Pump symbol will be off.
Supplementary heating (thermostat function) Only for system 3A
(Only with Parameter P20=1 and with Parameter P14 > P13)
During normal operation, if the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank Sensor S1 is lower than the Thermostat
activation temperature parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 40°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator activates the output Relay connected to terminals 13-14-15 (FREE CONTACT on the 11-pin connector);
whereas if the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank Sensor S1 is higher than the Thermostat deactivation
temperature parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 45°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator
deactivates the output Relay connected to terminals 13-14-15 (FREE CONTACT on the 11-pin connector).
The contact is voltage-free and with exchange contact: NC 14-15, NO 13-14.
To signal the Supplementary Heating mode, the Contact symbol will be lit.
Elimination of excess heat (thermostat function) Only for system 3B
(Only with Parameter P20=1 and with Parameter P14 < P13)
During normal operation, if the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank Sensor S1 is higher than the Thermostat
activation temperature parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 40°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech
regulator activates the output Relay connected to terminals 13-14-15 (FREE CONTACT on the 11-pin connector);
whereas if the temperature of Upper Hot Water Tank Sensor S1 is lower than the Thermostat deactivation
temperature parameter value (Installer parameter, default equal to 45°C) then the ECOTRONIC tech regulator
deactivates the output Relay connected to terminals 13-14-15 (FREE CONTACT on the 11-pin connector).
The contact is voltage-free and with exchange contact: NC 14-15, NO 13-14.
To signal the Supplementary Heating mode, the Contact symbol will be lit.
