Interfaces

Purpose
Scales in the Cubis series have at least two data interface ports that are used to out-
put measurement values, calculated values and parameter settings to printers, PCs
or checkweighing displays. These interfaces can also be used to enter control com-
mands (e.g. key confirmations via a foot switch) or alphanumeric inputs (e.g. via a
barcode scanner).
These installation instructions describe the following optional interfaces:
– Serial communications interface (RS232), 25-pin
– Serial communications interface (9-pin RS-232) and with PS2 data interface
port
– Communications interface as a Bluetooth adapter
Installation

Installing the Data Interface

Example:
Unscrew the cover plate on the optional interface slot to remove it from the

back panel of the scale.
y Keep the cover plate in a safe place.
Remove the respective interface from the packaging;

insert it into the interface slot and secure with screws.

Tighten the screws, so that the seal ring sits securely to prevent any
liquid from entering the device.
y The interface is now assembled.
The interface configuration is described in the pertinent Operator's Manual.
