Troubleshooting Guide

Always turn off power to the VSC before inspecting the pump. Failure to observe this
precaution can result in a serious accident. Before ordering repairs, carefully read through
this instruction booklet. If the problem persists, contact your dealer.
Problem
VSC will not
turn on
VSC will not
respond to the
remote control
Diminished pump
flow rate or
no/intermittent
water flow
Possible Cause
Power is off
Power failure
Power cord is not
connected
Depleted batteries/
battery connection
Remote is not synced
with the VSC
VSC is out of range
Flow level is set too low
Incorrect timer settings
Low water level
Pump requires service/
maintenance
Possible Solution
Turn power on/Test or reset GFCI outlet
Check power supply or
contact local power company
Connect power cord
Replace batteries/ Verify orientation
Unplug VSC for 10 seconds. Plug back
in and press the power button on the
remote to re-sync
Decrease distance
Raise the flow level on the VSC
Verify timer is set correctly
Stop operation/Raise water level
Follow manufacturer recommendations
for pump service and maintenance
