5.3- Tips for drilling
a) For drilling into wood, do not use the torque control. Select the regular drilling position "
b) When drilling timber, use a woodworking bit.
c) When drilling metals or plastic, use a metal bit.
d) When drilling into soft wood, the drill should be operated at its maximum speed.
e) When drilling into hard wood the drill should be operated at low speed.
f) Always drill in forward rotation.
g) To drill on concrete, you may also use the hammer position " ".
h) Wood drilling:
To drill into the wood, you will get better results with a wood drill fitted with a guiding screw tip.
The guiding screw facilitates drilling by driving the bit into the workpiece.
i) Metal drilling:
To prevent the drill from slipping out of the hole when you start drilling it, make a notch with a punch and
hammer in the drilling location.
Place the tip of the drill in the notch and start drilling.
When drilling metal, use a cutting lubricant.
Only iron and brass must be drilled in dry condition.
WARNING:
 Applying excessive pressure on the tool does not speed up the drilling process. In fact, excessive pressure
will damage the tip of the bit, will reduce tool efficiency and will shorten its lifespan.
 The drill bit exiting through the opposite side of the workpiece generates great force on the tool.
 Hold the tool firmly and be careful when the drill bit starts exiting out on the opposite side of the workpiece.
 A stuck bit can be removed by simply setting the rotation switch to reverse mode. Hold tool firmly.
 Always keep small workpieces in a vise or holding device.
 If the tool has run continuously until the battery runs out, allow it to rest for 15 minutes before continuing
with a charged battery.
5.4- Tips for screw driving
Note: ONLY available on model PRBAT20/P: select the specific screwdriver position "
a) Before driving screws in wood, a suitable hole should be made in the workpiece.
This will prevent the screw and bit from wandering over the workpiece causing damage.
b) It is recommended that when screw driving, the tool should be operated at low speed.
c) Insert the bit into the screw head and gently drive the screw into the hole.
d) When the clutch engages immediately release pressure on the trigger switch.
e) It is recommended to commence at the lowest torque setting and increase until the screw has been driven to
the desired point.
