Safety Warnings for Working without Drill Stand
Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss
of control can cause personal injury.
When working with the machine, always hold it firmly
with both hands and provide for a secure stance. The
power tool is guided more secure with both hands.
Always wait until the machine has come to a complete
stop before placing it down. The tool insert can jam and
lead to loss of control over the power tool.
If the application tool should become blocked, switch
the machine off. Loosen the application tool.
Before switching on the power tool, make sure that the
application tool moves freely. When switching on with a
blocked drilling tool, high torque reaction can occur.
Safety Warnings for Working with Drill Stand
Never leave the machine before it has come to a com-
plete stop. Cutting tools that are still running can cause in-
juries.
Safety Warnings for Wet Drilling
Never operate the machine without the portable resid-
ual current device (PRCD) provided.
Products sold in GB only: Never operate the 110 V exe-
cution of the machine without isolation transformer ac-
cording to EN/IEC 61558-1 and EN/IEC 61558-2-23.
The isolation transformer must have a grounded earth
wire on the secondary winding side.
Before starting work, check the proper function of the
portable residual current device (PRCD). Have a dam-
aged portable residual current device (PRCD) repaired
or replaced by your Bosch after-sales service agent.
Pay attention that neither persons in the working area
nor the power tool itself come into contact with the wa-
ter that comes out.
When wet drilling over-
head, the escaping water
must be collected. To do
this, insert the power tool in-
to a drill stand and mount a
water collecting ring (see
"Accessories/Spare Parts",
page 15).
Ensure that water-carrying hoses, connectors and the
water collection ring (accessory) are in immaculate
condition. Replace damaged or worn parts before the
next use. Water escaping from parts of the power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.

Intended Use
In conjunction with diamond wet-drilling core bits and a water
supply, the power tool is intended for wet drilling in concrete
and reinforced concrete. The power tool can be combined
with an extraction device (water collection ring and wet/dry
vacuum cleaner).
In conjunction with dry diamond core bits and a suitable ex-
traction device, the machine is intended for dry drilling in
bricks, sandstone, aerated concrete and tiles.
