Working Instructions
Preparations for Gluing
The surfaces to be glued must be clean, dry and free
of grease. Roughen smooth surfaces before gluing.
Do not use inflammable solvents for
cleaning!
The ambient temperature and the work piece to be
glued must not be colder than +5 °C or warmer than
+50 °C.
Warm rapidly cooling materials (e.g., steel) for better
adhesion.
Gluing
Danger of burning! The glue and the nozzle tip are
s
heated to 200 °C. Do not allow the hot glue to
come into contact with persons or animals. If hot
glue touches the skin, immediately hold the spot for
some minutes under a stream of cold water. Do not
try to remove the glue from the skin.
Insert the glue stick 2. Press the feed trigger 3.
Apply the glue in the form of points. For gluing flexible
materials (e.g., textiles), apply the glue in a zig-zag line
(see Fig.
).
B
After applying the glue, press the surfaces to be glued
together immediately.
Press the glued surfaces together for approx. 30 s. A
load can be applied to the glued junction after approx.
5 min.
Between individual gluing actions, place the gun on
the support stand 4.
Remove glue residue after cooling with a sharp knife.
The glued junction can be separated again by heating.
The glued junction can be painted.
Changing the Nozzle
Heat the gun for approx. 2 min. Unscrew the nozzle 1
while warm.
The nozzle tip is hot! Take hold of the nozzle only
s
on the heat protector 5!

authorised customer services agent for Bosch power
tools.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders, always
include the 10-digit order number of the unit.
Environmental Protection
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as
