Active listening (see Figure 3)
The hearing protector is equipped with an active
volume function. Check that the function is
operable before using the unit. If interference
or faults occur, consult the manufacturer's
instructions on maintenance and battery
replacement.
– Warning! The sound from the active volume
control on the hearing protector can exceed the
external noise level.
– The hearing protector features level-limiting
of audio signals from speakers to maximum
82 dB(A) at the ear.
On/Off Volume
– Turn the dial marked "Surround" to turn on the
active listening microphones. Continue to turn
clockwise to increase the volume.
External audio input (see Figure 4)
The hearing protector is equipped with an
electronic audio input. Check that the function
is operable before using the unit. If interference
or faults occur, consult the manufacturer's
instructions.
– Warning! Connection of an external audio
source can entail a sound level that exceeds the
daily permitted exposure.
– Maximum permitted audio signal: 263mV
– You can connect a communications radio, MP3
player, mobile phone or other external audio
source to the 3.5 mm audio input.
– The volume function must be turned on when
using the external audio input.
Batteries (see Figure 5)
– The unit is supplied with two 1.5 V AA batteries.
– Use only 1.5 V AA NiMH batteries.
– Ensure that the batteries' plus and minus poles
are correctly oriented.
– Never change the batteries when the
electronics are on.
– Warning! Performance can decrease as the
batteries discharge. During normal use, the
estimated battery life is about 1000 hours.

– 2 sealing rings
– 2 noise absorbers
– 1 headband cushions (only intended for
headband)
Choose the correct hygiene kit for your hearing
protector. The hygiene kit should be replaced at
least twice yearly.
