Removable Roll Out Mesh Pocket (BCJ-8000)
Located above the right pocket on the BCJ-8000 is a
removable mesh pocket. Release the two hook pins on the
top of the main pocket to remove the mesh pocket. [Fig. 21]
By attaching it to the small D-rings below the main pocket, the
roll out pocket can be attached below the main pocket. You
can also pass the flap section of the mesh pocket through the
bottom of the BCJ waist belt as shown in the photo and secure
with the surface fastener to attach to the front of the waist belt.
[Fig. 22]
Adjusting the Anchor Belt Length
(BCJ-9300, 4000, BC0102, BC0201,BC0403)
If you fill the cartridge up completely with weights, the pocket
of the bladder tends to hang down under the weight. To
compensate for this, tighten the strap on the anchor belt so
that you feel a little weight. [Fig. 23]
Gusset Adjuster Strap (BC0201, BCJ-6900, BCJ-6910)
The side gusset of the bladder can be adjusted to the proper
buoyancy by tightening (decreasing) or loosening (increasing)
the gusset adjuster strap. [Fig. 24]
Shoulder Angle Adjuster (BCJ-9300, 4000)
The upper back section of the BCJ-9300 and 4000 is equipped
with a shoulder angle adjuster, to adjust the opening of the
shoulder belt. When loading the BCJ onto the tank, adjust the
length of the adjuster belt to the desired position. [Fig. 25]
* This does not need to be adjusted for every dive.
Chest Belt Position Adjuster (BCJ-9300, BC0102, BC0201,BC0403)
The position of the BCJ-9300 and the BC0201 chest belt can
be adjusted up and down. The product is set in the upper
position when it is shipped. If the lower position fits better, slip
the clip of the chest belt from the loop of the shoulder belt,
thread it through the lower loop, and lock the clip. [Fig. 26]
Adjustable Sternum Strap (BCJ-8000)
The position of the sternum strap on the BCJ-8000 can be
adjusted vertically. You can adjust the sternum height to the
desired position by sliding both sides of the sternum strap.
Rollup Buckle (BCJ-1800)
The BCJ-1800 weighs less than 2 kg (4.4 lb.) and is designed
for destination diving. A buckle located behind the right-side
pocket can be used to roll and pack the BCJ-1800 for travel.
Using the buckle: Slide the catch end (female) buckle on
the right side of the waist belt (left side from your perspective)
to the end of the webbing. [Fig. 27] Tightly roll up the pocket
section on the left side. Fold the right side pocket section over
the rolled up left side section. Connect the catch end (female)
waist belt buckle to the hook end (male) buckle (rollup buckle)
located behind the right side pocket. [Fig. 28] The BCJ-1800 is
now rolled and packed for travel.
* If the BCJ is left rolled up for extended periods of time, the
soft pad sections and other sections may change shape. Be
sure to store the equipment normally when not transporting it.
Removable Resin D-ring and Rotary Hook (BC0201),
Removable Resin D-ring (BC0102,BC0403)
The BC0201 is equipped with a removable resin D-ring and
rotary hook (The BC0102 is only equipped with a removable
resin D-ring). Squeeze the clip and unlatch the clip lock. Slide
the clip from the loop of the D-ring belt or rotary hook belt to
remove it. The D-ring belt or rotary hook belt may be attached
to another grommet location or another webbing attachment
point by securing the clip to the D-ring belt or the rotary hook
belt webbing. [Fig. 29]

ATTACHING THE BCJ
Put the BCJ on your back and tighten the shoulder belts by
pulling the D-rings on the front edge of the shoulder belts,
tightening them enough to fit comfortably to your body. Stoop
forward a little, as if you were carrying a child on your back,
to lessen the burden of the tank on your back. Tighten the
cummerbund securely and fasten it with the hook and loop
fastener. Make sure that the hook part fits exactly over the loop
part on the cummerbund. (* If it does not cover it exactly, adjust
the length of the waist belt.) Do up the waist buckle, pulling
evenly on both ends of the waist strap to tighten it.
Finally, pull the D-rings on the shoulder belt to fully tighten the
jacket.
Jump the tank up two or three times on your back while pulling
the D-rings to tighten so it is not too tight.
BCJ CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Proper care and maintenance will allow you to use your TUSA
BCJ for many years without any problems.
After diving wash the jacket in fresh water as soon as possible.
If the jacket is not washed well in water, salt or sand particles
may build up on the quick inflator inflation and deflation buttons
and lead to a serious accident.
First, thoroughly wash the outside of the BCJ. Then hold down
the quick inflator deflation button and send water through the
air outlet. Shake the BCJ several times to wash out the salt on
the inside, then turn the quick inflator so it is facing down and
hold the deflation button to expel the water.
Repeat this several times to fully wash off the salt that has
adhered to the outside/inside of the BCJ. To wash the BCJ
more easily using the above procedure, turn the screw cap
below the OPEV counterclockwise to remove the quick inflator
together with the hose. [Fig. 30]
When replacing the screw cap turn it clockwise and tighten it
fully. When doing this ensure that there are no sand particles or
other foreign objects adhered to it, and that the round silicone
seal is in the main unit side of the screw cap.
Also check that the grooves on the screw cap are properly
aligned when tightening it. Otherwise this may lead to water
leaking or a serious accident.
For the tilt inflator [Fig. 9], to keep the valve performing
normally wash the inside of the BCJ and the inflator hose well,
and then press the inflation button as shown in [Fig. 31] to
expel as many drops of water left inside the inflator as possible.
After returning home wash the inside and outside of the BCJ
again in a bathroom or similar with water. After washing, expel
as much of the water that has entered the BCJ as possible,
and moderately orally inflate [Fig. 8] the BCJ.
When moderately inflated tighten the waist belt and so on, and
hang to dry in a shady location out of direct sunlight.
After the jacket has dried, put it on a hanger and store it.
For stubborn stains or dirt, soak a cloth in diluted neutral
detergent and use it to wipe away the stain or dirt. Then
thoroughly wash off the detergent in running water.
Using strong detergents as is, not fully washing off the
detergent, or using organic solvents such as gasoline, thinner,
or alcohol may cause deformation or discoloration.
Diving equipment will degrade over time even when not used.
After using 100 tanks, or when one year has passed since the
product was purchased or overhauled, ask your TUSA dealer
to inspect the diving equipment, and have the equipment
overhauled (fees apply) as necessary.
If the equipment is not overhauled regularly it will stop working
normally and may lead to a serious accident.
