IMPORTANT
Only use the included power supply ! Do not install the device near a heat source or in a dirty environment. A microwave oven or a cellular phone in the vicinity of either receiver or transmitter can cause
interference and diminish the quality of the signal. Do not install the system in humid locations as water may damage the receiver or the transmitter. Wait until the equipment has dried if condensation
does occur. Do not expose the system to temperatures in excess of ± 50°C. Do not paint the housing or attach labels or stickers to it. Use only one receiver and one transmitter in one particular area in
order to avoid interference.
DON'T CUT THE DC POWER CABLE OF THE AVMOD11TXC / AVMOD12TXM AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE DEVICE AND VOID THE WARRANTY.
2. Troubleshooting
Important remark : Direct the transmitter's and receiver's antenna towards each other (the receivers' antenna is located across from the connectors)
Poor Picture
: Realign the antennas / adjust the position of the receiver or transmitter slightly /, change the distance between receiver and transmitter
Picture with lines – no picture : Check to confirm there is no cellular, microwave oven or other 2.4GHz equipment operating close by.
Picture ghosting
: Check for interference caused by obstacles e.g. trees, buildings, cellulars, etc. / select a new site for the receiver and/or transmitter.
No picture
: Make sure the receiver is ON and the audio plug is not plugged into the video connection and vice versa.
3. Installation of the AVMOD11TX
1) The transmitter is equipped with an omnidirectional antenna that is most effective when placed upright.
2) Connect transmitter and receiver (AVMOD11RX = option) with their respective power supplies.
3) Connect the transmitter's A/V inputs to the equipment you wish to transmit from (camera, VCR, TV, etc.) (audio = red, video = yellow)
4) Connect the receiver (AVMOD11RX = option) to the equipment you wish to transmit to (monitor, TV, VCR, etc.)
5) Set transmitter and receiver to the same channel.
6) When both transmitter and receiver are in the ON position, you should adjust their position slightly until optimum picture and sound quality is obtained.
4. Installation of the AVMOD11TXB
1) The transmitter is equipped with an omnidirectional antenna that is most effective when placed upright.
2) Connect the transmitter with the camera through the BNC connector.
3) Connect the two plugs at one end of the power sharing cable with the power jacks of the transmitter and the camera (make sure both transmitter and camera use 12Vdc!!).
4) Connect the supplied mains adapter with the DC power supply socket.
5) Connect the receiver (AVMOD11RX = option) with the equipment you wish to transmit to (monitor, TV, VCR, etc.).
6) Set transmitter and receiver to the same channel.
7) When both transmitter and receiver are ON, you should adjust their position slightly until optimum picture and sound quality is obtained.
5. Installation of the AVMOD11TXC
1) The transmitter is equipped with an omnidirectional antenna that is most effective when placed upright.
2) Connect the transmitter and the receiver (AVMOD11RX = option) to their respective power supplies. Use the battery box (incl.) with 4 AA-batteries (option) or use the included power adapter.
3) Connect the receiver (AVMOD11RX = option) to the equipment you wish to transmit to (monitor, TV, VCR, etc.) (see below : AVMOD11RX)
4) Set the receiver to the right channel.
5) When both transmitter and receiver are ON, you should adjust their position slightly until optimum picture and sound quality is obtained.
