1. Purpose of use:
The assembly tool is an accessory to the MAPRESS SUPERSIZE Press-fitting system. By clamping
the unpressed pipe/fitting connection with the assembly tool, the pipe can be prevented from being
pulled out of the fitting accidentally (prior to pressing).
2. Application
Pipes DN 54 to DB 100.
3. Positioning the assembly tool.
In order to carry out the pressing with a mounted assembly tool, the following points should be
observed when positioning the assembly tools (see the following examples):
The area for positioning the assembly tool is at approx. 10· + 180· in relation to the hydraulic
cylinder Z.
The safety distances a, b and c (see illustrations 4.1 to 4.4) should be complied with in order to
avoid a collision between the assembly tool and the hydraulic cylinder.

The following should be carried out after the pipes and fittings have been fitted together:
Screw on jaws K using both of the rotating grips G,
Place assembly tool as illustrated.
(Attention! Observe the minimum distances and position of the hydraulic cylinder.)
Clamp jaws K in place using both of the rotating grips.
