comply with standard EN 60155. Remove the fluorescent lamps.
Loosen the screw cap of the starter and insert a new suitable starter.
Then carefully tighten the screw cap.
mp aquarium lamps are manufactured in accordance with EMC di-
rective 89/336/EEC and have GS and CE labels.
C VARILUX cover
With the VARILUX cover, both lids can be opened upright or removed.
The light bridge can be moved as required to make work comfortable.
Caution: Do not install nozzle jet pipes used in filters in the VARILUX
housing.
Instructions to set up the aquarium

Place the aquarium on a level, firm and waterproof support (see
weight table). We recommend one of the matching mp aquarium
supports.

Before setting up the aquarium, fill the tank to test it for leaks. Then
fill the aquarium up to just below the glass hooks. Do not transport
the aquarium when full. Do not carry the tank using the glued
hooks.

When cleaning the glass, ensure that the glued joint is not da-
maged. Be careful when using cleaning instruments with razor-
blades. Do not use cleaning agents containing toxic substances.

Before the aquarium is used, the water must be treated to be suit-
able for fish and plants (add water treatment agent).

mp aquariums are manufactured to comply with DIN 32622-1096.
All glass edges are ground by machine and, if thicker than 8 mm,
they are also polished.
We provide a 24 month guarantee on mp aquarium lamps, valid from
the date of purchase. The guarantee covers all possible defects on
integrated electronic parts (excl. fluorescent tubes). Damage due to
intervention by the user is not covered. For the mp aquarium furniture
we provide a 24 month guarantee for any defects in production.
We provide a 36 month guarantee on the bonding and workman-
ship of your mp aquarium, valid from the date of purchase. Damage
to glass is not included. The precondition for the guarantee is that the
installation information is followed. No liability is accepted for fish,
plants and consequential damage in your flat – even during the gua-
rantee period. Please do not remove the label on the bottom of the
base plate as otherwise the warranty claim will no longer apply.
Within the guarantee period our repairs are free of charge. To have the
guarantee recognised, present this voucher (see overleaf), together
with the dated purchasing invoice, to your specialist retailer.
