Chapter 4 – Troubleshooting
Q: How do I upgrade my Handheld Terminals / Data Collector to the latest firmware / OS?
A: Please follow the below procedure to perform the OS upgrade.
Login to our technical download section to download the latest OS by choosing the corresponding
model.
Once downloaded, unzip the file and place them in the memory card.
Insert the memory card into the device and go to My Device >> Memory Card >> the folder which
contains the firmware >> launch the uFlash.exe utility.
Specified the location of the firmware file by clicking on browse. Once selected, click Start To
Update to initiate the OS upgrade process.
Caution! Make sure the terminal is connected to power source (either via cable or cradle) before
clicking on the Start To Update button, otherwise the process will not start.
Wait as OS update utility perform the upgrade.
After all the memory blocks have been updated, perform a cold-reset to complete the process.
Q: My stylus is jumping all over the place. How do I re-calibrate it?
A: Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Stylus, go to Calibration tab and perform the calibration according to on-
screen instruction
Q: How do I enable / disable the barcode scanner engine on my device?
A: Choose any of the below methods to enable / disable barcode scanner engine
• Go to Start >> Programs >> Power Pack >> Scan Manager
Double click on the Scan Manager icon located on the taskbar of your desktop
