Lockout types

Whenever a lockout occurs, the control box shows the reasons
for the fault (and the reasons can be identified by the reset button
colour).
Lockout description
Presence of extraneous light
when the motor starts
Pre-heating not terminated (*)
Presence of extraneous light
detected during pre-purging
The flame is not detected after
the safety time
Flame failure during operation
Fan motor error
Fault in the 1st stage oil valve's
electronic control circuit
Fault in the 2nd stage valve's
electronic control circuit
Eeprom error
(*) only for suitable applications
Blink frequency of the reset button for status indication (see par-
agraph "Fault diagnostics - lockouts" on page 28).
To reset the control box after visual diagnostics
have been displayed, you must press the reset
button.
WARNING
In the event the burner stops, in order to prevent any
damage to the installation, do not unblock the burner
more than twice in a row. If the burner locks out for a
third time, contact the customer service.
WARNING
In the event there are further lockouts or faults
with the burner, the maintenance interventions
must only be carried out by qualified, authorised
personnel, in accordance with the contents of this
DANGER
manual and in compliance with the standards and
regulations of current laws.

The sequence of pulses issued by the control box of the LED in
the reset button identifies the possible types of fault, which are
listed in the table below:
presence of a false flame signal after heat request.
fault with the resistor of the oil pre-heater (*)
fault with the switch or start up thermostat (*)
the bridge socket P is not connected, or the heater is
faulty
presence of false flame signal during pre-purging
RED
flame sensor defective or dirty
oil valve defective or dirty
faulty ignition transformer
badly regulated burner
no fuel oil
burner not calibrated correctly
oil valve defective or dirty
flame sensor defective or dirty
faulty fan motor
fan motor not connected
faulty oil valve
fault inside the electronic circuit controlling the oil
valve
internal control circuit of the 2nd stage gas valve faulty
faulty internal memory
