Motor seems to be working too much
Explosion Hazard
Keep flammable materials such as gasoline away
from freezer.
Failure to do so can result in death, explosion,
or fire.
•
Is there too much ice? Or is an object preventing
lid from closing?
Defrost and clean freezer. If necessary, rearrange food
inside the product so lid closes properly.
•
Is room temperature warmer than usual?
The motor will work longer under warmer weather
conditions. At normal temperatures, the motor works
approximately 40 % to 80 % of the time.
•
Has a big amount of food been placed in the
freezer?
Placing a big amount of food heats the freezer inside.
The motor will work longer to stabilize freezer
temperature. Do not place more food than the freezer
can freeze in 24 hours – approximately 2 to 3 pounds
(0.907 to 1.360 kg) of food per cubic foot in the freezer.
•
Is lid opened too often?
The motor will work longer under this condition. To save
energy, get all the food you need from the freezer at
once. Keep food organized and easy to find. Close lid
immediately after getting the food you want.
•
Is control set according to environmental
conditions?
See item "How to operate the temperature control".
•
Is lid not closing properly?
Firmly push the lid to close it. If it doesn't close to the
end, see "Lid does not fully close".
•
Is magnetic rubber sealing properly around the lid?
Call a qualified technician.
•
Is there enough air circulation around the freezer?
See "Location requirements".
NOTE: If your problem is none of the above, remember
that a new freezer works longer than an old one because
of the high efficiency of the motor.
