8.
Set up the Ethernet communication (if applicable).
Plug the Ethernet cable into the TDA74xxNG unit and
check that the Ethernet cable is connected to a switch or
router.
Note:
Use CAT5 (or better) for the Ethernet connection.
9.
Configure the desired address on the DGP bus, using the
switches on the board.
10. Connect the system databus. Connect D+ on the
TDA74xxNG DGP bus terminal to the D+ Comms terminal
on the ATS control panel, and D− on the TDA74xxNG
DGP bus terminal to D−. Use twisted pair or similar.
This connection is used to configure the dialler from an
ATS keypad.
11. Connect the MI bus to the ATS panel MI bus using the
ribbon cable provided.
12. Connect the battery to the terminal block on the
TDA74xxNG board (Figure 5, item 9).
Figure 7 shows an example of mounting and connection of a
TDA74xxNG dialler to a panel with the ATS7123 ISDN dialler
installed.
Power can now be applied to the board.

Interconnection monitoring

TDA74xxNG Series are Ethernet and GPRS diallers that are
connected to the MI bus of an ATS panel. This MI bus is
constantly monitored via a polling mechanism. If
communication fails (for example, a cable is removed), a fault
message is shown to the user and sent to the central station.

This menu is not available in Advisor Advanced. The

Advisor Advanced language.
Reporting mode
The following reporting modes are available:
IRIS: IRIS compatible reporting protocol
OH: Osborne-Hoffman protocol
VdS: VdS compatible reporting protocol
Ethernet settings
The following Ethernet settings are available:
IP mode: DHCP or static.
IP address, Subnet mask, and Gateway address can be
set for static IP mode; otherwise these values are read-
only.
Path enabled: enable or disable the communication path
(if applicable).
10 / 90
GPRS settings
GPRS settings include the following:
IP address (read only)
Access Point Name
User name: APN user name
Password: APN user password
SIM card PIN: PIN for SIM card
Roaming SIM: If enabled, the dialler always switches to an
allowed GSM network with the stongest signal. Otherwise,
only the home work can be used.
Path enabled: enable or disable the communication path
(if applicable).
IRIS settings
The following IRIS settings are available.
Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) IP address configuration.
Alarm protocol: XSIA or CID
Note:
IRIS protocol assumes only one alarm receiver. In case
of alarm the dialler attempts to contact it via Ethernet, and if it
fails, it switches to the GPRS channel.
OH settings
The following Osborne-Hoffman receiver settings are available.
Version: 1.9.3 or 2
Receiver number, Line number: Additional event and
heartbeat information specific for OH protocol.
ETH heartbeat interval, ETH heartbeat int unit: Value and
units for heartbeat via Ethernet channel. Allowed range is
1 second to 255 hours.
GPRS heartbeat interval, GPRS heartbeat int unit: Value
and units for heartbeat via GPRS channel. Allowed range
is 0 seconds to 255 hours.
Alarm protocol: XSIA or CID
Primary IP address, Primary GPRS address, Backup IP
address, Backup GPRS address, Primary IP port number,
Primary GPRS port number, Backup IP port number,
Backup GPRS port number: IP addresses and port
numbers for primary and backup receivers.
VdS settings
The following VdS settings are necessary to configure when
using VdS alarm reporting.
Primary IP address, Primary port number: IP address and
port for the primary receiver.
Primary connection type:
- Ethernet: The Ethernet is the main channel while the
GPRS connection is a backup
- GPRS: The GPRS is the main channel while the
Ethernet connection is a backup
- Both: The dialler toggles the connection type after a
report failure
Primary key number, Primary encryption key: A number
and a value of the AES encryption key set in the primary
receiver.
Primary alternative path test time (min): This is a time
period between test messages sent via GPRS channel, if
the main Ethernet connection fails. These test messages
are sent until the Ethernet connection restores.
Backup IP address, Backup port number, Backup
connection type, Backup key number, Backup encryption
