• The maximum expected surface temperature of the impact wrench at a given duty cycle is as
shown in the chart below. Higher temperature could be an indication of overload or potential
failure of bearings or other mechanical components.

• Elevated vibration levels may be an indication of imbalance, or potential failure of bearings or
other mechanical components.
• If elevated temperatures or elevated vibration levels are detected, shut the tool off and
discontinue its use until it can be inspected and/or repaired.
• Air pressure above 6.2 bar (620 kPa/90 psig) at the inlet may result in a source of ignition
caused by premature failure of bearings or other components due to excessive speed, output
torque or force.
• Proper lubrication and maintenance are required to prevent premature component failures.
Follow the recommendations in the Lubrication and Maintenance sections of the manual
supplied with the impact wrench.
• Inspect front and rear rotor bearings and hammer case bushing to detect impending
malfunction during regular maintenance and replace if necessary.
• Do not perform maintenance or repairs in an area where explosive atmospheres are present.
• Do not clean or lubricate impact wrench with flammable or volatile liquids such as kerosene,
diesel or jet fuel. A potentially explosive atmosphere may be created.
• Prior to using the tool, clean off any accumulated dust from the tool.
• Use only non-sparking impact sockets.
• To avoid frictional heating, ensure proper fit and engagement between anvil square and
socket/attachment.

conditions, notices and warnings given herein, must be followed.
