1. GENERAL AND SAFETY-RELATED WARNINGS

CAUTION
Read this instruction manual carefully. Save it and hand it over to any subsequent owner or user of the product.
CAUTION
This appliance is not a water purifying unit. Do not use with microbiologically unsafe water. The appliance
does not affect the concentrations of salts in the water or its hardness. The appliance, used with the FT-52
filter, reduces: HLORINE TASTE AND ODOR, PARTICULATE, CYST, LEAD, ASBESTOS, LINDANE, 2,4-D, TOXAPHENE,
BENZENE, CARBOFURAN, 1,4DICHLOROBENZENE, ATRAZINE, ensuring that these substances are reduced in line
with the NFS 42 and NFS 43 standards.
CAUTION
This equipment requires regular maintenance to ensure the level of potability of the drinking water treated and
the maintenance of the improvements as stated by the manufacturer.
CAUTION
Use original AKWA filters only. Do not use the filter for a number of litres greater than the capacity stated on
the filter itself.
Do not use the filter for a time greater than the maximum stated on the filter itself and under no circumstances
longer than 12 months.
If the filter has run out and no replacement filter is available, remove it from the appliance.
Using the filter for a time or for a number of litres greater than stated can cause intoxication.
CAUTION
Perform periodic sanitisation as described in the "Maintenance" chapter in this instruction manual.
If the dispenser is left unused for several days, dispense a few litres of water before drinking.
If the dispenser is disconnected from the electrical mains for several days or not used for more than a week,
sanitise it before drinking the water dispensed.
If the water dispensed has unsuitable characteristics (smell, taste, colour), perform sanitisation as described
in the "Maintenance" chapter in this manual. If the problem persists, contact your authorised technical support
service.
Not performing sanitisation periodically or in the cases mentioned above leads to a risk of intoxication.
CAUTION
If any fault is discovered, disconnect the appliance from the mains socket and contact the authorised technical
support service. If the appliance is connected to the water supply, turn off the relative inlet tap.
