GENERAL
Before the first use, read these instructions carefully. Always follow the safety and operating instructions.
Keep the instructions for future reference. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than intended.
Important: This appliance can be used by children over 8 years only under supervision. Do not play with
the appliance. Never leave the appliance or its cord unsupervised, or within reach of children under 8.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
• Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
• Regularly check the appliance for damages. Never use the appliance if its cord or the appliance
itself shows any signs of damage. Any repairs should be made by a competent qualified
electrician(*). Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electri-
cian(*) in order to avoid all danger.
• Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never
place it into the dishwasher.
• Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
• Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.
• Never use the appliance outdoors. Always place it in a dry environment.
• Never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer so as not to cause
damage the appliance or hazard to the user.
• Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any
way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
• Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
• It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into contact with
food.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: the manufacturer's or importer's after-sales department, or any per-
son who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs. Where necessary give the
appliance to such an electrician for repairs.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance has a short cord in order to reduce the risk of getting entangled in or tripping over a
longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
• The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least 16 ampere. An extension cord of
less than 16 ampere could overheat and get damaged.
• If you use a longer cord, arrange it properly so that it does not drape over the counter top or
table top, where it could be pulled on by children or tripped over.
