2 - COMPATIBILITY OF USE:
The vertical anchor line thus installed must be used with the corresponding personal protection *sliding fall prevention
system. See the corresponding instructions for use (EN353-1/2).
A personal protection fall prevention system sliding on an anchor line (flexible or rigid) should be incorporated into a
system as defined in the data sheet (EN363).
A fall prevention harness (EN361) is the only body holding device that is permitted to be used. It can be dangerous to
create one's own fall prevention system in which each safety function can interfere with another safety function.
Consequently, before every use refer to the usage recommendations of every component of the system.
3 - INSPECTION:
Before every use check the operation of the system, and check especially that:
the product has no visible deformation, cuts, abrasion or signs of wear, cracks,...

- the energy absorber (if fitted) has not been activated (red ring visible),
- the product does not have any traces of oxidation or rust.
The top anchorage point (energy absorber) and the cable are safety parts, special attention should be paid to
their visual inspection.
No modification, removal or addition of parts must be done without prior consultation with the manufacturer. Missing
or faulty parts should be replaced by genuine parts supplied only by the manufacturer. If in doubt it is essential for your
safety to have the installation inspected by the manufacturer or a competent person appointed by the manufacturer.
These systems (cable + sliding fall preventer) are PPEs and as such it is mandatory to have them inspected:
- after a fall,
- every 12 months,
by the manufacturer or a competent person appointed by the manufacturer. This inspection should be recorded in the
installation log, on the sign board and in the company's safety register.
This inspection should at least consist of the verification of the duo slide/anchorage line, as well as the verification of
the installation as described in §1.8.
4 - MAINTENANCE:
KS2001 & KS7000 systems do not require any special maintenance.
