Installing the Navigation Unit
IMPORTANT
Installation
• Install the navigation unit in a cool place as far away as possible from anything magnetic.
• Do not install the navigation unit on top of other units (TV Tuner etc), the navigation unit may not work
correctly due to excessive heat.

Mounting Angle
• Because the navigation unit has a gyro-sensor, install the unit as horizontally as possible. Installing
the unit horizontally aids accurate navigation.
Boot installation
• Install the unit where access to the spare tyre or storage space is not obstructed.
• Do not cover the case of the navigation unit with carpet etc; the unit has a high-speed microprocessor
and the case becomes hot during operation. Please pay attention when handling the unit during
operation and just after turning off.
Installation
1. Attach the mounting brackets to both sides of the navigation unit.
Fasten the bracket to the screw holes (see the following figure) using the installation bolts (M4 x 6).
Note:
• Be sure to use the supplied installation bolts (M4 x 6). Using other bolts not specified may damage the case.
2. Punch the holes that penetrate the canoe clips to the carpet, then plug the canoe clips to the mounting
brackets through the carpet to fasten the navigation unit.
Note:
• Never disassemble the built-in hard disk drive by yourself.
