peración postoperatoria o postraumática. Rizartrosis.
ACE504 / ACE506 / ACE507 / ACE510 / ACE512
• Tendinitis. Rizartrosis. Esquince. Inestabilidad. Recuperación postoperatoria o
postraumática.
ACE517
• Rizartrosis. Esguince ligamento colateral cubital (Pulgar del Esquiador). Ten-
dinitis. Tenosinovitis de De Quervain. Tratamiento pre/post-quirúrgico y pos-
traumático.
INSTRUCCIONES DE COLOCACIÓN
Para obtener el mayor grado de eficacia terapéutica en las diferentes patologías
y prolongar la vida útil del producto, es fundamental la elección correcta de la
talla más adecuada a cada paciente o usuario. Una compresión excesiva puede
producir intolerancia, por lo que aconsejamos regular la compresión hasta un
grado firme, pero cómodo.
En caso de que el producto necesite adaptación, ésta se tiene que llevar a cabo
por un técnico ortopédico o un profesional sanitario legalmente capacitado para
ello, y debe asegurarse que el usuario final o la persona responsable de la colo-
cación del producto entiende correctamente su funcionamiento y su utilización.
ACE511
1-Introduzca la mano posicionando el dedo pulgar por la abertura correspon-
diente.
2-Ajuste la cincha de antebrazo y fíjela mediante el microgancho.
3-Sitúe la cincha de muñeca en la posición deseada y tense la doble cincha
obteniendo la compresión deseada en muñeca y mano.
4-Cierre las 2 cinchas palmares pudiendo variar su tensión y orientación.
ACE512
1-Moldee la pieza del pulgar con respecto al perímetro del dedo y a las 2 pleti-
nas-base de esta pieza, para que acople bien a la forma de la muñeca.
2-Coloque la muñequera según las instrucciones indicadas para ACE511 (ver
arriba).
3-Aplique la pieza del pulgar colocando el dedo en la posición deseada.
ACE507
1-Coloque la muñequera y ajuste la férula del pulgar con respecto al perímetro
del dedo.
2-Cierre la cincha de la muñeca y a continuación, posicione el dedo pulgar en el
aro metálico sujetándolo con la respectiva cincha.
ACE510
1-Inserte el pulgar en la abertura diseñada este dedo.
2-Envuelva la cincha de compresión alrededor de la muñeca.
3-Ajuste la cincha elástica hasta que esté cómoda y segura con Velcro®.
4-Si necesario, moldee la férula de aluminio para la posición deseada.
ACE503 / ACE504 / ACE505 / ACE506
1-Inserte la muñequera y posicione la férula palmar en la palma de la mano,
teniendo cuidado de alinearla con el eje de la muñeca.
2-Ajuste la(s) cincha(s) del antebrazo y mano con la tensión deseada y fíjelas
con el cierre rápido.
3-Ajuste la cincha para el pulgar (si la lleva) con la tensión deseada y fíjela con
el cierre rápido.
ACE516 / ACE517
No es necesario el uso de herramientas para este procedimiento. Se puede
extraer la férula de aluminio para facilitar el proceso.
ACE516: Moldeo de la férula palmar:
1-Antes de colocar la muñequera en el paciente, moldee la férula palmar, obte-
niendo el ángulo de flexión palmar o dorsal deseado.
ACE517: Moldeo de la férula de pulgar:
1-Antes de colocar la muñequera en el paciente, moldee la férula de pulgar,
obteniendo el ángulo de abducción deseado.
2-Si es necesario, adapte la curvatura distal de la pletina a la forma del pulgar.
Colocación de la muñequera:
1-Afloje las cinchas de microgancho permitiendo un espacio cómodo para in-
troducir la mano.
2-Introduzca la mano en la muñequera y el dedo pulgar en el respectivo orificio,
alineando la férula palmar con en el eje formado por la palma de la mano y
el antebrazo.
3- Cierre las cinchas en microgancho empezando por la más distal (más cercana
a los dedos) hasta obtener un ajuste firme, pero cómodo.
4-Si es necesario, corte los extremos sobrantes de las cinchas en microgancho.

PRECAUCIONES
Antes de cada uso, compruebe que el producto tiene todos sus componen-
tes, según el proceso de colocación. Revise periódicamente su estado. Si
observara alguna deficiencia o anomalía, comuníquelo inmediatamente al
establecimiento expendedor.
El material constructivo es inflamable. No exponga los productos a situacio-
nes que pudieran producir su ignición. Si así fuera, despréndase rápidamente
de ellos y utilice los medios adecuados para apagarlo.
En caso de pequeñas molestias producidas por el sudor, recomendamos el
uso de una interfase de algodón para separar la piel del contacto con el teji-
do. En caso de molestias como rozaduras, irritaciones o hinchazón, retire el
producto y acuda al médico o técnico ortopédico. El producto se debe utilizar
solamente en pieles intactas. Contraindicado en cicatrices abiertas con hin-
chazón, enrojecimiento y acumulación de calor.

CUIDADO RECOMENDADO
Lavar periódicamente a mano con agua tibia, jabón neutro y secar al aire. Con-
servar en lugar seco a temperatura ambiente.

• Rhizarthrosis. Ulnar collateral ligament injury of the thumb (skier's thumb).

ment.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
For best therapeutic results considering different pathologies and to extend the
useful life of the product, it is essential to choose the correct size for each patient
or user. Excessive compression may be intolerable; adjusting the compression
to be firm yet comfortable is recommended.
If the product must be adapted, any such adjustments must be done by an or-
thopaedic specialist or healthcare professional legally certified to do so who
must make sure the end user or person responsible for fitting the product prop-
erly understands how it works and should be used.
ACE511
1-Insert the hand with the thumb in the corresponding opening.
2-Adjust the forearm strap and secure with the micro-hook.
3-Move the wrist strap to the desired position and tighten the double strap for
the desired pressure on the wrist and hand.
4-Close the 2 palm straps; the tension and direction can be changed.
ACE512
1-Mould the thumb part in accordance with the perimeter of the digit and the 2
base strips for this part so it fits the wrist shape well.
2-Put the wrist brace on according to the instructions for ACE511 (see above).
3-Put the thumb piece on by putting the digit in the desired position.
ACE507
1-Put the wrist brace on and adjust the thumb splint to the perimeter of the digit.
2-Close the wrist strap and then place the thumb in the metal ring, securing it
with the respective strap.
ACE510
1-Insert the thumb in the opening designed for this digit.
2-Wrap the pressure strap around the wrist.
3-Adjust the elastic strap until comfortable and secure with the Velcro®.
4-If necessary, mould the aluminium splint for the desired position.
ACE503 / ACE504 / ACE505 / ACE506
1-Insert the wrist brace and position the palm splint in the palm of the hand
being careful to align it with the wrist axis.
2-Adjust the forearm and hand strap(s) to the desired tension and secure with
the quick closure.
3-Adjust the strap for the thumb (as applicable) to the desired tension and se-
cure with the quick closure.
ACE516 / ACE517
It is not necessary to use tools for this procedure. The aluminium splint can be
removed to facilitate the process.
ACE516: Shaping the palmar splint:
1-Before fitting the wrist support to the patient, shape the palmar splint to obtain
the desired palmar or dorsal flexion angle.
ACE517: Shaping the thumb splint:
1-Before fitting the wrist support to the patient, shape the thumb splint to obtain
the desired abduction angle.
2-If necessary, adapt the distal curvature of the splint to the shape of the thumb.
Fitting the wrist support:
1-Loosen the Velcro straps to provide a comfortable space to insert the hand.
2-Insert the hand into the wrist support and the thumb into its opening, making
sure that the palmar splint is aligned with the axis formed by the palm of the
hand and the forearm.
3-Close the Velcro straps starting from the most distal (closest to the fingers)
until a firm but comfortable fit is achieved.
4-If necessary, trim off any excess from the ends of the Velcro straps.

Before each use, check that all product components are present as per the fit-
ting process. Periodically check the conditions of the product. If you observe
any defect or anomaly, immediately report it to the issuing establishment.
This product is made of inflammable material. Do not expose the products to
situations that could set them on fire. In the event of a fire, quickly get them off
your body and use the proper resources to extinguish the fire.
To avoid minor discomfort caused by sweating, we recommend using some
type of cotton fabric to separate the skin from contact with the product materi-
al. For discomfort such as chafing, irritation and swelling, remove the product
and see a doctor or orthopaedic specialist. The product should only be used
on healthy skin. It is not recommended for use over open scars with swelling,
redness or hotspots.
