INSTRUCCIONES DE COLOCACIÓN
Para obtener el mayor grado de eficacia terapéutica en las diferentes pa-
tologías y prolongar la vida útil del producto, es fundamental la elección
correcta de la talla más adecuada a cada paciente o usuario. Una compre-
sión excesiva puede producir intolerancia, por lo que aconsejamos regular
la compresión hasta un grado firme, pero cómodo.
En caso de que el producto necesite adaptación, ésta se tiene que llevar
a cabo por un técnico ortopédico o un profesional sanitario legalmente
capacitado para ello, y debe asegurarse que el usuario final o la persona
responsable de la colocación del producto entiende correctamente su fun-
cionamiento y su utilización.
Para su colocación deben observarse los siguientes aspectos:
Antes de proceder a la colocación del braguero, debe tener en cuenta las
siguientes recomendaciones ya que de ello dependerá el éxito del trata-
miento.
En primer lugar reducir la hernia completamente llevándola a la cavidad
abdominal, esto se realizara en posición decúbito supino (acostado boca
arriba), puesto que, de este modo, la fuerza de la gravedad ayuda a que el
intestino retroceda.
A continuación, situé la pelota acolchada o almohadilla de contención de
forma que tope la hernia. En el caso de tratarse de un braguero de correaje
o de fleje, situé el cinturón por encima de la cadera, debajo de la apófisis,
antero superior del ilion, y posteriormente por encima del glúteo mayor. Si el
braguero lleva un tirante por la zona inguinal, este pasara entre las piernas
de forma lateral hacia arriba, a través y por debajo del glúteo y se fijara en el
lugar previsto el en el cinturón.
MODELO HERNIA SLIP:
En el caso de haber seleccionado el slip, colóquelo como un slip conven-
cional asegurándose que las almohadillas taponen la hernia, a continuación
ajuste la banda escrotal sujetándola al abdomen mediante los cierres de
velcro.
MODELO BRAGUERO SUSPENSORIO:
Para adaptar el braguero suspensorio ajuste inicialmente el cinturón pélvico.
Introduzca el pene por el orificio y aloje el escroto en la bolsa escrotal (inter-
cambiable), pase los tirantes por la ingle, subiendo posteriormente por las
nalgas y ajustándolas al cinturón pélvico, obteniendo la tracción necesaria.

En la posición de decúbito supino (acostado boca arriba), reducir la hernia
llevándola a la cavidad abdominal.
Sitúe la almohadilla de contención de forma que quede en la zona de la
hernia. La almohadilla debe ser fijada con la pieza rectangular de velcro en
dirección vertical.
Coloque la banda alrededor del cuerpo y proceda a su cierre.

PRECAUCIONES
Antes de cada uso, compruebe que el producto tiene todos sus com-
ponentes, según el proceso de colocación. Revise periódicamente su
estado. Si observara alguna deficiencia o anomalía, comuníquelo inme-
diatamente al establecimiento expendedor.
El material constructivo es inflamable. No exponga los productos a situa-
ciones que pudieran producir su ignición. Si así fuera, despréndase rápi-
damente de ellos y utilice los medios adecuados para apagarlo.
En caso de pequeñas molestias producidas por el sudor, recomendamos
el uso de una interfase de algodón para separar la piel del contacto con
el tejido. En caso de molestias como rozaduras, irritaciones o hinchazón,
retire el producto y acuda al médico o técnico ortopédico. El producto se
debe utilizar solamente en pieles intactas. Contraindicado en cicatrices
abiertas con hinchazón, enrojecimiento y acumulación de calor.

Lateral or bilateral reducible inguinal hernias.
• For suspensory truss model:
Large scrotal hernias.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
For best therapeutic results considering different pathologies and to extend
the useful life of the product, it is essential to choose the correct size for
each patient or user. Excessive compression may be intolerable; adjusting
the compression to be firm yet comfortable is recommended.
If the product must be adapted, any such adjustments must be done by an
orthopaedic specialist or healthcare professional legally certified to do so
who must make sure the end user or person responsible for fitting the prod-
uct properly understands how it works and should be used.
When fitting the product, you must adhere to the following instructions:
Before proceeding with the fitting of the truss, take into account the following
recommendations as the success of the treatment depends on these. Firstly
completely reduce the hernia down to the abdominal cavity; this should be
carried out in the decubitus supine position (lying face up), as this way the
force of gravity helps the intestine to retreat.
Following this, place the cushioned ball of containment so that it limits the
hernia. If using the truss with a strap, place the belt above the waist, un-
der the apophyses, front upper ilium, and subsequently over the gluteus
maximus. If the truss has a strap in the inguinal area, this should be pas-
sed through the legs laterally upwards, through and under the gluteus and
should be secured onto the belt.
HERNIA PANT MODEL:
If the pant has been chosen, place it like a conventional pant, ensuring the
cushions block the hernia, then adjust the scrotal band holding it up to the
abdomen using the velcro fasteners.
SUSPENSORY TRUSS MODEL:
To adapt the suspensory truss initially adjust the pelvic belt. Insert the pe-
nis through the orifice and place the scrotum in the scrotal bag (interchan-
geable), pass the straps through the groin, subsequently lifting through the
buttock and adjusting the pelvic belt, obtaining hence the necessary traction.

In the supine position (lying down, head up), reduce the hernia by moving it
to the abdominal cavity.
Move the support pad to the hernia area. The pad must be secured with the
rectangular Velcro part vertically.
Wrap the truss around the body and close.

PRECAUTIONS
Before each use, check that all product components are present as per
the fitting process. Periodically check the conditions of the product. If you
observe any defect or anomaly, immediately report it to the issuing es-
tablishment.
This product is made of inflammable material. Do not expose the products
to situations that could set them on fire. In the event of a fire, quickly get
them off your body and use the proper resources to extinguish the fire.
To avoid minor discomfort caused by sweating, we recommend using
some type of cotton fabric to separate the skin from contact with the prod-
uct material. For discomfort such as chafing, irritation and swelling, re-
move the product and see a doctor or orthopaedic specialist. The product
should only be used on healthy skin. It is not recommended for use over
open scars with swelling, redness or hotspots.
Products marked with the
natural rubber latex and can cause allergic reactions in people sensitive
to latex.
Products marked with the
magnetic components and, therefore, extreme precaution must be taken
if you undergo an MRI scan or are exposed to radiation associated with
diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
