Method of operation and application
The mechanical vacuum switch type VPEV- 1/ 8-... opens or closes an electric cir-
cuit when a certain vacuum is reached at the vacuum connection (changeover
switch). When the vacuum rises, it presses a diaphragm against a spring. The
deflection depends on the extent to which the tension of the spring is set. When
the maximum limit of deflection of the diaphragm is reached, a microswitch is
actuated. This switch opens or closes the electrical contacts. The switching point
and the switching difference (hysteresis) can be set independently of each other.
The VPEV- 1/ 8-... is designed for generating monitoring signals for controllers on
vacuum-operated systems.
